According to the university, the program, and the commencement year, different minimum cutoffs are required for a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc). But, generally speaking, a minimum of 50% (10+2 for the B.Sc program) is the cutoff result for the qualifying exam for those programs. For certain universities and programs- especially the more prestigious or in-demand ones- the cutoff scores might be higher. Yes, the candidate who has a PUC score is eligible to be admitted to Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University. The brochure of the university says that " the candidate who has passed PUC from PU board of Karnataka state and 10+2 examination of ICSE/CBSE board from any school of Karnataka state need not produce eligibility certificate. however, the candidates have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the university if he/she has passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from other states including ICSE/CBSE. The candidates who have passed from ITI from any of the institutes of Karnataka state also have to obtain eligibility certificate from the university to get admission". 

To apply for undergraduate courses, a candidate must complete their 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 50% of the possible marks (45% for the ST/SC candidates). There is no entrance for these courses, and the applicants are selected based on their merit at 10+2. The candidate's final selection would be based on the marks they receive in the qualifying examination. 

Candidates are chosen for postgraduate programs, except the MBA program, based on their qualifying exam scores as determined by counseling. Candidates must register for counseling and visit the chairperson of the department they intend to apply to. Upon registering, candidates will receive a slip that they must present for counseling. 

PGCET-MBA is a state-level admission exam administered by the state of Karnataka  to select applicants for MBA programs besides CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT, etc.
