CFA Institute launches new Private Equity Certificate

CFA Institute has unveiled a brand-new offering: Private Equity Certificate. This certificate built upon content of CFA Program has been made for private equity professionals with one to three years of industry experience.

Private Equity Certificate will train professionals who are already in private equity partnerships, as well as those aspiring to such roles, with essential skills for analyzing private equity investments, evaluating deals, and employing value-creation strategies. It is designed to meet the learning needs of interns, analysts, and associates working at private equity firms or investment banks, as well as individuals currently pursuing relevant degrees.

This certificate addresses requirements of small to mid-sized private equity firms by providing access to top-tier training content, facilitating smooth onboarding of new employees, and enhancing retention rates.

By offering targeted education and fostering practical skills development, the certificate aims to prepare participants to excel in the competitive realm of private equity. It is a self-paced, intermediate-level certificate comprising five courses focused on practical skills, particularly financial modeling, essential for analysts or associates in private equity firms.

The five courses included in the certificate are:

1. Private Markets Essentials.

2. Private Equity.

3. Private Debt for Private Equity Practitioners.

4. Intermediate Financial Modeling.

5. General Partner Perspectives.

It also provides students with direct interaction with financial modeling trainers through monthly one hour live sessions starting September. These sessions will cater to diverse time zones, offering participants guidance, clarification, and feedback on specific areas related to certificate content.
