As we all know, due to COVID-19 the whole world is going through a difficult phase. To stop spreading coronavirus, we have only one solution that is to quarantine ourselves at home. The mode of education is moving towards a regular classroom education to online classes.
In today’s scenario, online classes are widely used in many colleges providing easy access to subject materials, clarifying doubts, group discussions and many more. Keeping in view the present scenario, our EThames Degree College has started online classes with the help of Google Classrooms. These days the online courses are revolutionising the formal education. These online classes have helped me to learn easily from home itself. Also, it saves travelling time and money.
The course material and activities can be accessed easily from any of the supportable systems or an android device. Our college is conducting online classes with a schedule by covering one subject in a day for completing our syllabus on time. We also have the following advantages for taking the online classes
- Comfortable and flexible timings
- More comfortable learning environment
- Everyone can take classes without concerning about their location
- Saves commuting time
- Improves technical skills
- Flexible schedule and environment
- Easier coordination with the faculty
- Easier to focus on a particular topic/ subject
- Improves self-discipline
- Easier attendance process
- Easy completion of assignment
- Gives opportunities for networking
Also, the online classes –allows the teacher to give attention to all the students equally in a better way. The assignments are also given to us online with their respective submission dates. The faculty of every subject gives few questions to students to complete in a particular week by simply reading and practising these questions. The online classes during this period are also helping students in learning/ covering the topics of each subject without any gap. We can take part in classes from the comfort of our home. We also learn to be self-disciplined because the faculty/instructor will not be constantly reminding us about the assignments or the deadlines of the projects. It is up to us to make sure that we are completing each assignment and submitting the same within the time frame. Online education is becoming more popular due to several advantages. Therefore, the students must make the most of this time.
