NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.

Scholarship is provided to 5% of total new students every year. However, there is no course specific scholarship as per official website. All new students are eligible to apply for scholarships. Selection depends on academic performance and financial needs of a student. Documents such as Income proof, etc. have to be submitted along with scholarship form.
