NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.

Yes, MITID offers MDes in full-time mode for two-years. The course is offered in 12 specialisations. Some courses are Fashion Design, Animation Design, User Experience Design, etc. Admissions are conducted in two phases. Phase I includes submission of Portfolio and SOP with application form. Portfolio consists of all the previous work and creativity of an applicant. SOP is a written document stating why applicant wants to join MITID and pursue MDes. Phase II includes a Studio Test and interview. Final selection is based on scores of both phases. 

The procedure for being accepted into one of the many fashion design courses is to pass the HSC exams. The majority of well-known fashion design schools in India, particularly in Pune, have as their fundamental prerequisite that applicants for fashion design programs have completed their Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum cumulative score of 50%.
