CBSE compartment, private, patrachar students can get provisional admission in UG courses
Students admitted provisionally in any college will be asked to submit their results within a week of the declaration of results by CBSE to the respective institutes.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in its official notification announced that all the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) second compartment, private, patrachar students whose results are yet to be declared, can take provisional admission in the undergraduate courses. AICTE released a notification on social media for all the students who are seeking admissions in various undergraduate courses. The official notice released by AICTE on social media states, “Circular regarding #Provisional #admission in UG courses for Private/ Patrachar & 2nd Compartment Students: ( For students seeking admission in higher studies in various courses whose results are not yet declared by #CBSE cbseindia29 ) Details - https://bit.ly/38YLbYx PIBHRD.”
The Council has directed the colleges and universities to give admissions to such students on a provisional basis. While giving such provisional admission, the colleges, universities will have an undertaking signed by such provisionally admitted students. These students will be required to submit their results within a week of the declaration of results by CBSE to the respective institutes.
If the provisionally admitted student fails to submit their result, their provisional admission will stand cancelled, AICTE added. AICTE also directed and asked the institutes to implement the said decision. It further added to inform the students regarding the facility of provisional admission on their respective official websites.
On August 31, a plea had been filed in the Supreme Court regarding a change in the CBSE compartment, private- patrachar exam date sheet. The petitioner also asked the apex court to direct institutes to provide provisional admission to such students.
