Coronavirus: IP University admission registration extends, CET postponed

In the wake of coronavirus pandemic in the country, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (mostly known as IP University), has stretched the registration deadline for admissions to various courses in the upcoming academic session. Now, the candidates have the option to apply till April 17 for IP University admission process. The IP University has also deferred the Common Entrance Test or CET 2020 examination which was previously scheduled between April 25 and May 5. According to a new notification, the CET 2020 will now be held from May 20 to May 30 for which the admit cards will be released from May 10 onwards.

According to a statement from the IP University, in view of the hardships faced by the country due to COVID-19 pandemic, GGSIPU has extended the last date of registration for admission in academic session till April 17, 2020 for common entrance test (CET)/merit-based/national level test candidates. It further stated that for the time being, the CET 2020 will be conducted from May 20 and 30. Accordingly, CET admit cards will be issued by the university on May 10, 2020 onwards.

For further updates pertaining to admission for the academic session 2020-21, students may visit the university website at ipu.ac.in. The notification displays its hope and asserts that the situation would get back to normal soon. It further advises all the concerned persons to visit the university website. For the first time, the Delhi-based University will hold the admission process by means of computer-based entrance examination.
