DU Admissions 2020: Spot Admission, Special Cut-off List POSTPONED due to COVID-19 pandemic

DU Admissions 2020 Process Delayed: According to the latest update, the University of Delhi decided to postpone the release of the Special Cut-off List along with the Spot Admission Process for the undergraduate level admission process. Along with this, the varsity also decided to delay Spot Admission for different undergraduate programmes. In order to inform the students about its decision and to confirm the delay in the admission process, the Delhi University issued an official statement stating β€œMany of the University Departments and Officials have been affected by COVID – 19. Due to this, the Spot admission to UG entrance based courses and special cut-Off for UG merit-based courses have been deferred till further notice.”

Despite the delay in the spot admission process, the university also confirmed that the University of Delhi shall display the course-wise and category-wise vacant seats in each college on November 18, 2020. On similar lines, the admission process for postgraduate level courses will begin from November 18, 2020, onwards. In line with this, the university asked PG candidates whose final year results have been declared to upload their marks on the dashboard. For students whose results have not been announced yet, DU said that they will be admitted provisionally.

The official information regarding the selection of the candidates also states that in case of a tie, candidates with a higher percentage in the qualifying exam as mentioned in the eligibility criteria will be given preference. If the tie persists, candidates with a higher percentage in the final year of bachelor’s degree will be given preference, then a preceding year and so on.
