The government of Goa released guidelines, SOPs and health protocols to be followed strictly by all students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff during the partial reopening of the schools.

The government of Goa released guidelines, SOPs and health protocols to be followed strictly by all students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff during the partial reopening of the schools. 

Goa Schools Reopening: According to the latest update, the government of Goa state decided to reopen schools from November 21 amid the ongoing pandemic situation for Classes 10 and 12. A reputed media source states that while talking about the partial reopening of the schools, the government of the state said, "The decision has been taken for partial reopening of schools under its jurisdiction for class 10 & 12 from November 21, following all health protocols & SOPs strictly." The state released a set of SOPs and health protocols to be followed strictly while reopening the schools. 

Talking about the precautions that are mandatory to be followed during the unlock procedure of the schools, the government further stated, "There should not be more than 12 students in a class. Running schools in shifts in case of high enrolment schools can be considered by reducing time duration of school hrs per shift, such that school is able to manage with same set of teachers in overall school hours." The measures laid down by the government are directed to be followed strictly by all students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff. 

The school reopening planning also includes, " prior sanitisation of all the areas intended for teaching/ demonstration, etc. including laboratories, other common utility areas with 1 per cent of sodium hypochlorite solution." In order to ensure queue management, schools are asked to make specific markings on the floor with a gap of 6 feet. The government also directed schools to ensure proper and frequent sanatization while providing transportation facilities.
