More than 1.9 lakh candidates took the Common Admission Test (CAT) this year. The results, declared on January 14, 2014, will start a flurry of events among test takers and MBA colleges. The first thing is the baffling wait for GDPI (group discussion and personal interview) calls. Institutes bring out the list of short-listed candidates and then start round two of selecting the final candidates. Often, MBA institutes already publish a minimum cut-off score for GDPI round. Candidates scoring above this minimum cut-off and satisfying other eligibility criterion (e.g. academic scores) can expect a call for round two. However, do remember, the final cut-offs in most colleges are way higher than the initial short listing score.
Let us take a look expected cut-offs for GDPI rounds in various colleges, based on the data of CAT 2012.
