MANUU launches digital initiative to mark National Education Day

The Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has launched a digital initiative on the eve of National Education Day as a tribute to the first Education Minister of independent India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
The digital initiatives, prepared by the Instructional Media Centre (IMC), include an exclusive e-content platform in Urdu which is available to students free of cost, an audio-visual series titled Urdu Nama that promotes the rich cultural heritage of Urdu, Shaheen -e- Urdu series to promote young talent associated with Urdu language and culture, and an educational news bulletin dedicated to educational news from India and abroad, MANUU said in a press release.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Syed Ainul Hasan, launching the initiative, appreciated the efforts of the media centre in popularising the Urdu language through digital media among Urdu and non-Urdu speakers. The nation celebrates Maulana Azad’s birth anniversary today, the release added.
This institute comprises seven schools that are inclusive of 24 departments offering master's programmes, research programmes at MPhil and PhD level. The Lucknow campus of MANUU offers admissions in PG programmes (MA) in Urdu, Arabic, Persian and English. It has established three polytechnic colleges based in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Darbhanga. Also, it offers a number of academic programmes in distance learning stream.
The process of Maulana Azad National Urdu University admission is completely online. Students are granted admissions either on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam or performance/score in the entrance examination/interview conducted by the University.
