The University Provides a Professional and Friendly Environment to Students, says Divya

A 2nd-year Management student at Himalayan School of Management Studies, SRHU, I Divya Tripathi, am a learner and an avid reader. My core interests are reading fictional and spiritual books, and writing. I am also a trained and certified classical dancer. Generally, I like to hold a positive attitude towards Life.
I have completed my 10+2 from Rishikesh Public School. I have always wanted to pursue a corporate or business life which was the clear-cut reason why I opted for the commerce stream in school. Thereafter, I chose Swami Rama Himalayan University as my career builder as it provides a professional and friendly environment to the students. The courses they provide are taught by experienced faculty which makes learning easy and helps in developing a solid personality. Being undergraduate commerce students, we are imparted with all the professional skills required to understand and build a business mindset. At our college, we are introduced to industrial visits, public interactions and guest lectures by professional educators. The University’s foremost motive is to keep the practical aspect above the theoretical knowledge.
Moreover, the University exposes the students to new research and development programs. We are always encouraged to develop a creative and independent mindset. The University also encourages the students to take up monthly online courses which provide extra credits in our grading.
As day scholars, we have classes assigned for the most part of the day. As a management student, I was interested in attending finance and marketing classes. Apart from that, I also signed up to become a member of the ‘Cultural Club’ of our college which works in organising various kinds of cultural events. We have organised events like 'dandiya fest', 'talent hunt’, and many more. As of now, I am planning to create a team for the ‘Literary Club’. The idea is to bring together members who love to read and write. With innovative ideas, I wish to work together in a team and look to develop reading & writing interests in others as well. With my experience of reading and writing, I have realized that it generally makes a person emotionally stable and also changes his/her perspective of seeing the world.
College life gave me my personality, and confidence to put my thoughts forward. I became independent, responsible, decisive, and ready to adjust in any situation. In short, I became more of myself and less of what others wanted me to be.
Getting into a management course at SRHU is not very difficult in regard to the selection procedure. It is quite simple. But, the seats fill fast so one must register and apply timely. The University selects the students on a merit Basis. The selection committee ensures that the student has completed his 12th with good grades. There is no practice of entrance exams. The admission procedure is easy to perform which goes like registering in the University’s online admission portal that collects some basic personal details, qualifications and selection of a particular course. The University is located in the lap of mountains which provides a healthy and familiar environment to the students. The University classify the students on the basis of their percentage in boards and fees are payable by classification on the basis of ‘Permanent residents of Uttarakhand' or 'All India Candidate’. The University also provides countless scholarships to deserving students.
There is a Placement Cell in place that ensures good training for interviews in well-established companies. It works throughout the year in the personality development of the students. Students are given multiple opportunities to get job offers from organizations of different genres.
My immediate future plans are to score good grades and get a good job. I am looking forward to making a career for myself in an international corporation. Also, I believe that one should never settle for less. If you have achieved one thing, you should work hard for something bigger and better. That basically makes the purpose of life interesting.
