The entrance test is based on the courses of study and syllabus of the 12th class.
As per the marking scheme of JKCET, 1 marks is awarded for each correct answer and for ecach wrong answer, 0.25 marks is deducted. Each 3 section of the question paper has 60 questions and has mamximum 60 marks. Maximum marks is thus 180.
The JKCET 2026 counselling registration for round 2 was open from June 12 to 15. For round 1, the registration was open from May 25 to 28. An additional round of counselling is likely to be held, only in case of seats that remain vacant. Candidates are advised to follow the Shiksha page and the JKCET official website for updates on the counselling schedule.
The allotment of seats in JKCET counselling will be basis the choices filled by the candidate and the rank. It is advised that candidates fill as many choices they can to increase their chances of getting a college. Also, the choices filled must be in order of preference.
Candidates will need to submit xerox copies of class 11 and 12 marksheet, Aadhar, and category certificate. Along with these, candidates also have to provide JKCET admit card and result copy.
Model Institute of Engineering and Technology applications are open. Candidates can register online on the institute's website. Aspirants also have to upload documents. The institute has not released any application deadline for now. Candidates must apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out the chance.
