MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that they cannot put mental burden of examinations on children amid COVID.
MP Board 12th exams 2021 cancelled: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced the cancellation of MP Board 12th examinations 2021. The evaluation criteria for the preparation of MP Board 12th Result 2021 would be announced soon. He also said that if a student wants to take the exam for better results or improvement, then the state board will introduce an option after the situation is conducive. The CM announced this via Twitter. While announcing the same, he said, "Children's life is precious to us, we will worry about the career later. At a time when the entire country and the state is facing the crisis of COVID-19, then it is not appropriate to put the mental burden of examinations on the children."
Earlier, the government was in favour of conducting physical exams. Speaking to media, Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar had said that most of the students and parents want Class 12 board exams to be conducted in the state.
On May 14, the state board had cancelled the MP Board Class 10 examinations in light of the pandemic. The state board had earlier postponed its MPBSE 12th examination scheduled to begin in June.
Meanwhile, CBSE, ISC, HBSE, GSEB have announced the cancellation of their respective Class 12 examinations.
