UK Board has decided to cancel Class 10 exams, while it has deferred the Class 12 exams in view of COVID.
The Uttarakhand Board has decided to cancel the upcoming UK Board Class 10 examinations, while it has decided to postpone the UK Board Class 12 examinations in view of the rising COVID cases. Earlier, these exams were scheduled between May 4 and May 22, 2021. The decision comes after many boards including CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, RBSE, among others have decided to deferr/cancel the board examinations in view o fthe huge spike in coronavirus cases across the country.
The state education minister Mr Pande said, “The Uttrakhand state board will now hold a meeting on 1 June 2021 and will take any call on the exams on the day of the meeting." During the review meeting, officials from different departments would present the ground situation and on the basis of that the final decision about upcoming UBSE 12th Exam 2021 would be taken.
A total of 1.48 lakh students were going to appear for the Uttarakhand board 10th exam 2021 which have now been cancelled. The marks to these students will be given as per the criteria of the UK board, details of which will soon be released by the state board.
