IIM-K offers Executive Programmes via Interactive Onsite Learning
Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has launched a two-year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) accredited by AMBA and a one-year Executive Post Graduate Certificate in General Management (EPGCGM) in partnership with Hughes Communications for 2013-2015.
These programmes are expected to reach working executives across 60+ cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad through Interactive Onsite Learning (IOL) platform of Hughes Global Education.
IIMK is also offering the following specialized one-year programmes:
• Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management
• Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Operations Management
• Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Finance Management
• Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management
• Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management
• Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management
These programs are aimed at both, young executives keen to gain a strong foundation in business management as well as mid-management level professionals to brush up their management skills and network with other professionals across industries.
According to Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, director, IIM-K, “This course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of specialised management functions and thus enable students to advance in their careers by way of promotions and better jobs in areas of their interest and is similar to the residential PGP program available at IIM-K.”
Course Pedagogy
The pedagogy consists of a judicious blend of lectures, real life case studies, simulations and workshops, etc. Classes are conducted through two-way Audio & Video communication (tele-classroom) providing a virtual classroom learning environment. The platform offers interactivity similar to a live classroom session, where a student sitting in any part of the country, at any given point in time, can interact freely with the professor, raise questions, queries, etc. These programmes have two modules; whereby the participants can log in to any of the 300 plus high bandwidth networked classrooms present in the country and the other component is in-campus module conducted at IIMK campus.

Working professionals with minimum of 5 years work experience after graduation (Bachelor's Degree/CA/ICWA) with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. The participants of these programmes form an interesting mix of working professionals from varied backgrounds like IT, Human Resources, Marketing, Banking, Financial Services and Manufacturing. |
