Mystory@Capt. Prakash Chandra: How I chose my career
It is only at the graduation level that I became eligible for many competitive exams. I qualified Staff Selection Commission exam in 1983 and joined the Naval Headquarters. After one and a half year, I qualified CDS and joined the Army. I left the Army in 1992 and joined Punjab & Sind Bank. If I could change things then I would love to appear for IAS exam.
At times I do feel that continuing in one organisation would have helped me reach a higher position. However, when I think of it from today’s perspective then I would like to advise children that if age is on your side then you must avail any opportunity coming your way such that it leads to your betterment.
