MBA after 12th Science: There is an option of pursuing Integrated MBA program after Class 12. Whether you completed your school from any stream be it Science, Commerce, and Arts, you can do this course. In this article you will know all the details.

If you wonder can we do MBA after 12th Science or after completing Class 12 from any other stream, you cannot do a traditional MBA course that requires an undergraduate degree. However, you have another option of enrolling in integrated MBA program.

The integrated MBA is for students who have completed their Class 12 and clear about making a career in management. If you do not want to complete a three year bachelor's degree and then apply for an MBA, then this course is ideal for you.

About Integrated MBA Program

It is a 5 year course offering both undergraduate and postgraduate management degrees through one streamlined course. It has its benefits, you save time by no need to do a separate under graduation and then doing an MBA. In such case, you do not need to appear for separate competitive tests for undergraduate and master's levels. It helps students in developing management skills to lead teams in an effective manner.

Can I do MBA After Class 12 Science, Arts, Commerce

The integrated MBA is not stream specific, you can enroll in it irrespective of from which stream you have done your schooling. If business studies interests you, you can pursue this course. There is no preference given to students on basis of subject streams.

Following are eligibility criteria for integrated MBA:

  • Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% for General Category.
  • For reserved categories like SC/ST/PwD candidates, the minimum percentage should be 55%
  • In case of integrated B.Tech MBA programs, students should have completed Class 12 from Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
  • Some integrated MBAs also need a certain English language proficiency.
  • Most of integrated MBA have upper age limit of 20 years.
  • The eligibility requirements vary depending on colleges, and hence it is important to check them before enrolling for course.
  • You also need to have basic digital literacy.

Entrance Exams For Integrated MBA

See below details of entrance tests to get admission to integrated MBA:

  • IPMAT also known as Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test. This entrance examination is for admissions to integrated MBA in various Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) including IIM Rohtak, IIM Indore and others. The entrance test evaluates students aptitude in verbal ability, quantitative ability and logical reasoning. The exam mostly have multiple choice questions. Some versions also have a written ability test (WAT) component or short answer type question.
  • NPAT (for NMIMS): It is for admissions to BBA, B.Sc. Finance, B.Com, BBA, and B.Sc. Economics. It stands for NMIMS Programs After Twelfth. The exam is computer based and include 120 multiple choice questions across verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning.
  • There are other university specific entrance exams that may require a minimum score to qualify.
