No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50% However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate.

I am completely dissatisfied with college life.

Placements: There are no direct placements, but professors share notifications of different private job vacancies with us in the WhatsApp group. One can join any private company on their own, but the college does not arrange any placement cell for direct placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the classrooms is okay but there are only two tiny classrooms. Sometimes, many students even do not get their seats because of the shortage of space. Labs are well-organised. The library facility is also there. The hostel is livable but the food is not that good.

Faculty: Not all the professors are good in teaching but all of them are knowledgeable. This course is just a path and one's preparation is completely dependent on oneself. Semester exams are quite tough to score good marks. The pass percentage is more than 80%. If we do not study, we will obviously get backlogs.

Other: I accidentally chose this course and I regretted this but now I am doing well. I suggest if students are passionate about fish and fisheries then they can join this course, if not then please do not join it. I think the teaching should be improved. Events, fest, etc., are absolutely well-organised. In scholarships, officials do not co-operate well.
