Low feels great education.
Placements: Placement is not satisfactory but not so bad these days. In the past few years, placements were at their peak, but now the condition has decreased. The lowest package from our college is 3 LPA, but most students get jobs off-campus in big companies like Infosys and TCS.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The whole college has access to Wi-Fi. Digital labs, a library, a digital library, classrooms, and five hostels for boys and three hostels for girls are available in our college. A separate hostel is available for juniors. In front of the college, there is a small pond that gives the college a great look.
Faculty: Faculty members and teachers are very helpful and have a friendly attitude towards us. All of the teachers and faculty members are highly qualified and have vast knowledge in their fields. Some teachers are particularly good and very helpful. Semesters are not that difficult.

Overall, it is an impressive journey and we get good knowledge and placements.
Placements: It was a private college. Bachelor of Technology in computer science and engineering department was very popular all the time and students got placed in many IT sectors. Overall 70% of students got placed through on-campus and off-campus. The highest salary package offered by the companies was 6 LPA to 8 LPA. The average salary package offered varies between 4.5 LPA and 5.5 LPA. The lowest salary package was 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were some startups and some MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Dell, etc. In the third year, about 35-45% of students got their internships. Top roles offered by the companies were software engineer, business, analyst, customer support, etc.
Infrastructure: All the suitable facilities were provided to us for our study. We had high-speed Wi-Fi everywhere on campus, with full access. We could use this high-speed Wi-Fi any time for our necessity. Laboratories were well managed and had all the important instruments. We could use this for our study. Classrooms were well-maintained. There were projectors and CCTV cameras in our classrooms. There was a well-stocked library. It had the necessary books. We could collect the books at any time when we needed them by using our library card. There was also a medical room for emergencies. There were 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms were also nice. There was a big ground for games and sports.
Faculty: All the faculty members were well-behaved. During the class, if we faced any issue with understanding any specific topic, they would repeat it until we understood. They were properly qualified. They had some years of experience in teaching. Overall, their teaching quality was very nice and well-descriptive. The course curriculum was well-designed, and it helped a lot to get industry-ready. We could clarify our doubts from teachers. Semester exams were not so difficult but average. If we prepare well, we can score good marks. The passing criterion was 6 CGPA in every semester.
Other: Our campus life was good.

Review of BIET - Birbhum Institute of Engineering & Technology.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placed from all streams. In mechanical engineering, only 25% of the students got placed. Top recruitment companies were TCS, Tech Mahindra, EESL, Power Max Pvt Ltd, etc. In our course, the top role offered was a field engineer, but design engineers are offered the best salary package. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. About 90% of the students got an internship from our college, mainly in power plants Bk.TPP and DVC. Some students got in Durgapur Steel Plant also, and a few students got in Mahindra.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-built infrastructure. The whole campus has Wi-Fi, and there is a decent library, very good classrooms with projectors and very good labs. There is a decent hostel with facilities of food and canteen. A medical shop is also near the college. Moreover, sports and games are also a part of our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified too. Their skills of teaching show their quality. They are very frank and friendly to their students. They like students just like their children. This course curriculum is relevant, and students can become industry-ready of about 25%.
Other: I have chosen mechanical engineering because our college has a very good workshop and some very good teachers. I think more seminars or workshop programs can be added, which would be better for students to prepare them more industry-ready. Our college campus is very peaceful, and connectivity is also decent. Scholarships are also given to students. Apart from fests, many cultural programs also happen in our college.

Dissatisfied because of placement but the teaching quality was extraordinary.
Placements: 2% of students got placed in our year. The highest package offered was 3.25 LPA and the lowest offered was 1.2 LPA. Top recruiter used to be TCS but not in our year. No one got an internship from our college and top role offered was System engineer. Placement was very poor in our year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not available in the college. Labs and classroom were sufficient. But had only the basic infrastructure. Library had very few books and it was not sufficient for all the students. College had very limited food options although hostel took care of our food needs.
Faculty: Teachers were extremely qualified and knowledgeable. They were very helpful and the teaching quality was extraordinary. They never failed to guide us in the right direction. Course curriculum was relevant and very helpful, but not industry-ready. Although there were trainings conducted for that.

BIET is a college for those who want to learn new things.
Placements: I am a pass out student of BIET. I am glad to share my college experience. In our course, i.e., from the civil engineering department, about 30 students got placed in the year 2014. Companies like JMC, TCS, Pinnacle, Redvise, were the recruiters at that time. Top roles were offered by JMC and TCS. The highest salary package offered is about 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is about 2 LPA. During our time, i.e., in the year 2014, about 30 students from the civil engineering department got internships. Overall the placement rate in our course is about 67%.
Infrastructure: Excellent facilities and infrastructure are available in our college. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and also the hostels. There is a digital library rooms which is for accessing international journals. There is another library for reading books, which is fully air-conditioned. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Senior boys hostel and junior boys hostel are also separate. Hostel like East 1, East 2, West 1, West 2 are for the senior students. Each hostel has separate canteen facilities, and the quality of the food served is good. The college has its own ambulance and buses. Each year, annual sports are organised by the college and games like high jump, long jump, table tennis, short-put, etc., are included.
Faculty: Our department teachers are highly qualified and very helpful on the campus as well as outside the campus. They are from IITs. Each year, the department organises an excursion, and they also conduct an industrial tour. From the tour, we can gather more knowledge for job purposes.
Other: Since my childhood, I wanted to become a civil engineer because I want to know and build structures. The best thing about our course is that after the practical experiment, every step is believable. The syllabus should be more practical rather than theoretical. Every year college fest is organised by 3rd-year students of each department in March-April. At our time, the famous band Uniform Velocity performed awesomely. The college provides scholarships like half fees and full fees concession, especially to the financially poor and meritorious students. The college and the department organise seminars on different topics which are helpful for us.

I have spent four years here, so I have many memorable moments.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placed in ou course. The highest salary offered is of Rs. 2.4 LPA and the lowest salary offered is 1.2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Mahindra, Damodar Ropeways & Infra Ltd and Tata Consultancy services are top recruiting companies of our college. The role offered was of site engineer. The highest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is of 1.08 LPA. Almost 10% of the students got an internship at Gammon India and Simplex company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is vast. There are 3 segments of 4 of floors each. Wi-Fi, laboratory and library are provided. Classrooms are good with proper ventilation. Hostel, medical and canteen facilities are available. Sports like cricket, football, table tennis are played in our college ground and in the common room of our canteen.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified and friendly. M.Tech courses of several streams are available, like mechanical engineering. All B.Tech courses of all the streams are available. I am from civil engineering stream. The course curriculum is relevant to make student industry-ready.
Other: I chose civil engineering because I like this subject and because of the huge stock of laboratory instruments of our college. Some survey instruments are needed for the survey.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty. Placements were good in 2018.
Placements: Only 1 to 2% of the students in our course got placed. The average salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The top recruiting company for our course was Cinif Technologies Limited. The average salary package offered in our course was 1.4 LPA. None of the students got an internship from our course in any company.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for our department were average. I don't have any idea about the hostel as I am not a hosteller. Wi-Fi facility was poor, and college charges money from the students for Wi-Fi facilities, but they were not able to get that without the laptop. Hostel canteen food was very bad.
Faculty: Some of the teachers in our college were highly qualified, knowledgeable and helpful, and some of them were not. Teaching quality was also average. In 4 year course first, two years teaching quality was commendable but last two years teaching quality was the worst. Teachers left college, and the students suffer a lot.
Other: I like to observe things. I always try to find the reason behind the existence of things which forced me to take this course.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty members and placements.
Placements: From my stream nobody is placed because college didn't have us any chance to appear in placement. TPO department of the college failed to organize any placement in college campus. As per memory college had organized only a single campus placement which was a Telecom company. The selected student including me all of us didn't join the company because we were hoping for core companies. But alas!our hopes gone in vain. Not a single core company visited for placement. Though TPO department organized some placements either of those are off-campus or pull campus. Not a single student placed in the academic year 2014-2018.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was available in both college and hostel but most of the time it was out of order. Labs are occupied with machine most of them are in running condition but some of them are too old to run but the most hilarious part was there was no perfect lab assistance who assist us perfectly. Classrooms were in good condition specially the Lecture Gallery. But honestly speaking the facility we get from library is the best of them. Thousands of books blogs magazine were there. The Librarian and the stuffs were also friendly. The digital library and reading room was air conditioned. Food quality was moderate. Neither too good or too bad, food was eatable. But the rooms and toilets of the hostel were unhealthy. Hostel warden never took any step to keep the hostel clean. In college campus students could play volleyball and cricket and football too. But no indoor game facility. There was a ambulance for the emergency. Some fast aid facility was available which was assist by a female assistance no full time doctor.
Faculty: Except Mechanical Engineering department I think all the department had enough facilities and lab assistant. Computer Science having the best one. In mechanical engineering most of the faculty members was inexperienced. The experienced teacher didn't took our class only 2 teachers took rest of them are busy in gossiping. Course curriculum is relevant when the students get enough expenditure for grooming in their respective fields. I can't say about others but students from this college with these poor atmosphere and grrom there were not definitely ready for industry.
Other: I have interest in machines from childhood. My passion and affection towards machine helped me to choose Mechanical Engineering. The best things of my course was Drawing and designing whether it was hand drawing or CAD, I would love to do again and again. In my course I thinks Fluid Mechanics and Automobile Portion would be better. In my academic year only once college organized the Tech Fest, which was my best experience in rest of 3 years college organized simple cultural fest due to lack of funding. College organized annual sports, blood donation camp every year. In my academic year I have enrolled myself twice for college concert. College run it's own NGO called "SPARSH" where our college student go and tuition the little kids of local villages. College also organized a camp for "SPARSH". College is alongside of NH 60. college is only 15 minutes far away from Siuri Bus Terminus and 30 minutes far away from Siuri Railway Junction. College has it's own bus facilities which is paid by student. College is spread over a acres of land alongside beautiful Tilpara Dam. College also gave deduction in fees as a scholarship to the merited student.
