Burdwan Dental College Guide.

Placements: The college doesn't provide any further jobs as other regular government health-based colleges and universities. The patient flow and exposure is truly at peak. You get to look, learn, and treat hundreds of patients during your studying 5 years of course.

Infrastructure: The college, as of now (5 November 2024), still lacks a proper hostel for the students, internship, and even working junior resident doctors. The college has no ground of its own till now and only has two buildings designed. One being around a hundred years old that's very risky to even stay in.

Faculty: The college has a great faculty and lovely teachers with excellent work experience and great surgical skills. They make you work on a great level and make you learn every small and minute detail related to oral surgeries and oncology. The teachers have only one downside, that's English and Hindi not being the first language.

Other: The college has a good future if they work well. Looking at the current situation, there are far better colleges in the whole country and even at lesser ranks.

I am really amazed by the faculties of Burdwan Dental College and Hospital.

Placements: Education-wise, Burdwan Dental College and Hospital is the best dental college in West Bengal. The passed-out students from this college have very good skills and patient knowledge so most of them are running their own clinics and chambers with flood of patients coming for consultancy.

Infrastructure: You will find all the things required for this course: in library, all the books are available and the borrowing system is simple and easy , in mess, the food is good and the prices are reasonable, the classrooms are all newly made and too good , for sports and games, we have our ground beside college and also common room where you can play indoor games.

Faculty: The teachers are too good and helpful; we really have very good faculty; they make every topic crystal clear and if you still have doubts, you can reach out to teachers any time; they are always ready to clear our doubts and teach us. The difficulty level of the exam is just like other government dental colleges.

Other: As this is a government college, it has to be the good one always. But apart from academics, if we talk about fests and extracurricular activities, then there is always something going on in college like several inter-batch competitions sports, fests, seminars, etc.

Review of Burdwan Dental College And Hospital.

Placements: In my batch, there are 125 students who have taken admission in BDS course 2023-2024. Most of the classes are held at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital because most of the subjects are similar to MBBS in the first year. 100% of students go for internships with a stipend of 30k. After that, 1-2 years of housemanship with a stipend of 50k.

Infrastructure: There are separate labs, but not at a high level. There is a library, classrooms with fans. No Wi-Fi availability. The playground is common for local people and college students, but there is no specific college playground present. No hostel facilities are available. The canteen is available but very costly (fish thali for 60rs, which is available for 50rs outside the college). Only one canteen is present. There are three buildings in the college: one for academics, the others are for the hospital and practical labs, ticket counter. The patient flow is around 200 in a day.

Faculty: Teachers are always good, teaching quality is in bilingual with English+. Quality teachers are available. There is availability of student section to solve students' problems and provide solutions. No idea about semesters because we have not yet faced them. The college is good but I will not recommend it.

Other: College is famous for its fest SENATION, AND FLASHMOB, SWRASWATI PUJA, MEAN ALL THE FUNCTION WERE MADE IN THE COLLEGE, WITH LARGE CROWD PARTICIPANTS.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, placement, infrastructure overall all are good.

Placements: Basically I know more than 75 % students were placed in our course, at that professional field salary depend your own skill, I know at least 30-50000 you earn after internship, and further more at your own clinic you will income more than 2-3 Lacs, 50-70 % students also get internship at depend on their study and you will also house staff in your college as a role.

Infrastructure: In my course BDS - many classroom present divided by their own department, prostho, pedo, ortho, dental and many more department, classroom also good and higher faculty member also present. Other also good Wi-Fi, classes, and teacher explained in a way overall good .

Faculty: Teaching quality is also good overall experience teacher. And semester exam I know moderate level of you more study knowledge about it then you will pass in good marks, passing percentage I know >75 %. Students get will also a bright future ar this course .

Other: Basically I crack NEET and get this government college so I overall happy with my own journey. Events, fest, campus crowd, other facilities also good .

Hostel not available, only academics. Course is 1 to 4 years, 1 year internship with a 40k salary.

Placements: There is a 100% internship for doctors during the one-year junior residency. Around 500 patients come with different teeth problems. Medicines are given freely. Due to the low number of intern doctors, patients have to wait for one month for RCT and RPD. People come from different areas of West Bengal.

Infrastructure: The college campus is not very large. There are only three buildings, two for the hospital and one fully for academics. Hostel facilities are available, but students live in rented rooms around the college within walking distance. One playground is attached to the college building.

Faculty: Teachers are skillful, and all professors are doctors because we are in a medical course. Only two exams are conducted by WBUHS. One internal exam and one external exam. The course has 1st to 4th year, followed by 1 year of internship with a Rs.40,000 salary. It is a total 5-year course, and 1 year of house staff ship is given to junior doctors.

Other: It is a full government institute and very close to me.

It is a very good college.

Placements: 70% of students are placed in the course. The highest salary is Rs.52,000. About 90% of students get internships. Every occasion is celebrated warmly and beautifully. There is no partiality in the college. Doctors, staff, and teachers are very helpful towards the students, and their behavior towards them is very mannered.

Infrastructure: There is AC in the library, staff room, and almost every department except in the practical room. The hostel is also very good, with high-quality food at a very reasonable price. They also maintain hygiene. Every student is treated well by the canteen staff.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to each and every student, and they don't show any kind of partiality between them. The semester exams are quite tough, but they can be cleared if the students are prepared well before the examination. The pass percentage is 50%.

Other: The events, fests, and every program are handled by the union, and they arrange everything very well.
