Since the college primarily admits students through the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2025 exam the cutoff scores for the B.E./B.Tech programme at Chaitanya Engineering College (CEC) Visakhapatnam are based on these rankings. Although precise cutoffs for 2025 are not yet available, prior years have shown that closing ranks for well-known disciplines, such as CSE vary from 30,000 to 70,000 for the general category, with greater ranges (up to 1,30,000) for branches, such as Civil or Mechanical. Cutoffs for SC/ST categories are typically lower, ranging from 1,000,000 to 150,000. Candidates must receive competitive scores over 120/160 for top branches, and they must qualify with a minimum of 25% (40/160). Cutoffs are posted on eapcet-sche.aptonline.in after counselling and differ by category and branch.

Since Chaitanya Engineering College primarily uses Andhra Pradesh EAMCET ranks admission does not specifically require CBSE 12th marks. Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) with an aggregate of 50% from any recognised board, including CBSE reserved categories must have an aggregate of 40%. For managerial quota, 60% in 10+2 is essential. For CSE, the corresponding Andhra Pradesh EAMCET cutoffs in 2024 were between 30,000 and 70,000, while for other branches, they were higher. During counselling or direct admission CBSE students must provide their 10+2 mark sheets and meet the same eligibility requirements.
