GATE IIT MTech Cutoff: IITs release the GATE cutoff for admission to the IIT Mtech course. Candidates can check the cutoffs on this page below. IITs release the GATE cutoff ranks category-wise. The cutoff ranks denote the last rank up to which admission has been granted in the IITs in each MTech course offered by them. All IITs offer MTech seats to GATE-qualified candidates via the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).

Note while COAP is for MTech admission via GATE, CCMT is for admission to MTech programmes offered by NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs. State and private universities will conduct their own counselling based on GATE 2025 results, which were announced on March 19 along with the qualifying cutoff marks.

Aspirants shall keep the documents for verification ready at the time of admission as well.
No, there is no interview round for M.Tech admission at IIT Kanpur. Admission offers for GATE-qualified candidates are displayed on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Students must register at the COAP portal to view and accept their offers. Registration on COAP portal is free. Additionally, candidates are advised to download COAP 2022 information brochure. COAP Registration number is mandatory to apply for M.Tech at IIT Kanpur admission portal. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are communicated directly by the department via e-mail.

Factors determining GATE IIT MTech Cut off
The GATE cutoff for each IIT will differ, and all IITs will release their GATE cutoff based on the following factors: Candidates will be able to see the cutoff for all IITs on the official website of CCMT (Centralised Counselling for MTech). Look at the list of factors that will determine the GATE IIT MTech cutoff:
- Total number of candidates qualified in the GATE 2025 exam
- The difficulty level of the examination i.e. easy/ moderate/ difficult
- Availabiltiy of seats for a particular course

GATE 2021 Cutoff
IIT Bombay JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks. Normally, the number of seats is directly proportionate to the Cutoff ranks. Also, it is observed that as the number of applicants increase, the Cutoff rank also increases. IIT Bomby 2024 Cutoff showed that, the number of seats increased in comparison to the last year in a few courses, and increased in a few courses. It also indicates that the competition has been declining in a few courses, while improving in a few. Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.
Along with the application form, certain documents have to be submitted. The aspirants are required to submit scanned copies of below-mentioned documents while filling IIT Delhi application form in online mode:
- the latest passport-size photograph
- First and last pages of Aadhar Card/ Voter ID Card/ Passport
- PAN Card
- Admission offer letter
- Entrance exam scorecard
- Qualifying degree certificate
- Qualifying exam mark sheet
- Category certificate (only in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwD category)
- No objection certificate (only in case of part-time applicants)
- Sponsorship certificate/ Relieving letter (in case of full-time sponsored/ full-time working candidates)
- Medical certificate (in case of full-time candidates)
