Factors determining GATE IIT MTech Cut off
The GATE cutoff for each IIT will differ, and all IITs will release their GATE cutoff based on the following factors: Candidates will be able to see the cutoff for all IITs on the official website of CCMT (Centralised Counselling for MTech). Look at the list of factors that will determine the GATE IIT MTech cutoff:
- Total number of candidates qualified in the GATE 2025 exam
- The difficulty level of the examination i.e. easy/ moderate/ difficult

Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.
JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 for BTech course ranged from 126 to 5733 for students in the General AI category, so therefore a student should attain a rank of 5733 or preferably lower to increase their chances of admission to IIT Delhi. Please note that BTech cutoff 2025 will vary according to different rounds, courses, specialisations and categories.
