Scholarships of up to 100% are available to qualified students at the Chaitanya Engineering College (CEC), Visakhapatnam depending on their extracurricular and academic accomplishments Students with exceptional Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rankings or good 10+2 scores are given merit based scholarships which can cover the entire cost of the tuition (INR 1.4–1.72 lakhs). Government scholarships help students from economically disadvantaged and restricted categories (SC, ST, \ and OBC), such as Andhra Pradesh fee reimbursement program, \ which offers up to INR 45,000 per year. To be eligible applicants must present their income and academic credentials at the time of acceptance. Non-reserved categories may have limited availability.

With a 3–4/5 student rating, the faculty of Chaitanya Engineering College (CEC) Visakhapatnam, is generally well-regarded. They are made up of seasoned teachers many of whom hold M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees, especially in mechanical, CSE and ECE. They use hands-on workshops and labs to present an industry-focused curriculum. Although some students observe differences in the level of instruction among younger staff, the faculty members are friendly and provide a positive learning atmosphere. Department heads and other senior teachers provide strong mentoring, effectively preparing students for projects and placements.

Candidates must be eligible to take the Andhra Pradesh government's Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. Admission is determined by Andhra Pradesh EAMCET ranks 70% of seats are filled through counselling, and 30% are filled by management quota. Candidates must have a valid Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rank or 60% in 10+2.

A 2022 student pursuing a B.Tech in Civil Engineering claimed that the highest compensation package offered by CEC was INR 12 LPA. According to other sources, the maximum package offered to CSE candidates in 2025 was INR 8 LPA. Packages differ depending on the branch CSE and ECE receive greater offers than Civil and Mechanical where positions are limited. Top MNCs like TCS and Wipro participate in campus drives, which are facilitated by the placement cell nevertheless success is contingent upon student talents and branch need.

Alumni of Chaitanya Engineering College especially those with degrees in CSE and ECE, have secured positions as software engineers and the data analysts with compensation packages up to 12 LPA in prestigious firms like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Dazworks, Nagarro and Value Momentum. Six students from the 2019 Salesforce programme have been placed at notable companies, including Dazworks (3.5–4 LPA). Alumni in the fields of civil engineering and mechanical engineering have few options; many choose to pursue further education or work off campus. For two years, M.Tech costs range from INR 70,000 to INR 1,00,000. A three-year Diploma programme costs INR 46,500 whereas an MBA or PGDM programme costs about INR 70,000 in total Exams and building money are extra fees.
