Not a value for money and time. Disappointed by the quality of teaching and infrastructure.
Placements: I studied bachelor of film and television production at Chetana College of Media and Performing Arts Thrissur during the academic year of 2022-2025. College or department does not offer any placement assurance. They only post the job vacancy posters in WhatsApp group which the students are supposed to attend on their own. College doesn't even help the students to be interview-ready or conduct any mock interviews.
Infrastructure: First of all, college doesn't have the basic infrastructure for a college let alone a media college. The cameras and equipment are totally outdated, and most of them aren't functional either.
Faculty: The syllabus or curriculum is made by the college itself. Therefore, it has it's own flaws. Many subjects irrelevant to the course have found their place on the syllabus. For example, I have to study mathematics and geotechnical which makes no sense.
Other: I chose this college because I couldn't get into any other better college, and I could not afford to miss another academic year. Be wise and try to choose the best college.

There is no placement at all.
Placements: At first, they say there is a placement. But after you complete the course, they add you to a WhatsApp group that posts Instagram hiring ads.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel. The infrastructure is the worst. The walls have cracks and deformities. The neighborhood around the college hates the institution, so while you study there, you face a lot of hate and disrespect from them. Several times, the PCs crash while working on projects. One time, the AC in our studio room burned down. There was also an explosion, though the exact reason is unknown.
Faculty: Faculty members take exams to pass the marks. Faculty members take classes only to help students pass. There are no passionate lecturers or faculty members. Everyone comes and goes just for the monthly salary. Some faculty members don't even provide proper syllabus-based classes or lecture notes. Multimedia is good and covers everything in the syllabus. But faculty members are very poor in academics and teaching.
Other: Teachers form groups among students. There is a group of students who are favorites of some faculty members, and they handle all the events and programs in the college. Other students just come for attendance and the degree certificate. Don’t fall for the temporary fake atmosphere they create on social media and during admission.

I am absolutely satisfied because of the faculty members and good placements.
Placements: This college is best for students who are interested in media. Students should score 50% in their plus two. All students get internships in media-related companies. It offers courses like B.A. in journalism and mass communication, B.A. in visual communication, B.A. in graphic and design, and B.A. in film and television.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available in this college, like labs, library, Wi-Fi, etc. Classrooms are good. The college organises so many programs related to media studies. We can improve our skills through these programs. There is no specific hostel in this college. PGs are available for students.
Faculty: The teaching staff members are qualified. Teachers are the CUET rank list toppers. Semester exams are not difficult. It is very easy compared to other courses. We can easily pass all the semesters. This college is under the University of Calicut. So the college is best for media students.
Other: I chose this college because it is a media college. As a journalism student, a media college is best for me. Many events are organised in this college that make students more professional.
