BA admissions at SJCC are entirely merit-based. MGU released a merit list based on the Class 12 scores of the applicants. SJCC admission is a multi-step process. It involves registration, application, shortlisting, document verification and seat allotment. The detailed admission process for BA at SJCC is as follows:

Step 1: Online Registration & Application

The first step in SJCC's BA admission process is registering for the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). For this, candidates must visit the official website of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) (www.cap.mgu.ac.in) and submit their applications online. In this step, applicants are also required to choose their preferred combinations of colleges and courses. Here, the applicants must place SJCC's BA programme and their desired specialisation at the top of their preference list. Additionally, those who seek admission under the Management Quota must submit their application by visiting the official website of SJCC at www.sjcc.ac.in.

Step 2: Shortlisting

All the applications received on MGU's CAP portal are carefully evaluated. The university then releases a merit list containing the names of shortlisted candidates, along with their allotted college and programme. The merit list is based on the Class 12 merit of the applicants. For admissions under the Management Quota, the selection is based on the applicant's performance in Class 12, an aptitude test and an interview conducted by the college.

Step 3: Seat Allotment & Fee Payment

The seats are allotted based on the merit list released by MGU. Those who manage to secure a seat at SJCC for BA must submit the required documents for verification. The college can accept or reject the application based on the document verification. Shortlisted candidates must also pay the BA fee at SJCC. The tuition fee payable across the entire course duration of a BA at the college is INR 2.1 lakh.
