Chittaranjan College, University of Calcutta--- A Frank Review
Placements: Look, I studied a liberal arts course from this college, majored in English Literature. In that course, you don't just get placed just after your graduation. For a good job in this field, you have to do higher studies. And this college and its faculties are very supportive in that.
Infrastructure: This college doesn't have any hostel facility, but you can stay in a pg nearby at a very reasonable price. Kolkata is a very cheap city for living, as compared to any other city in India, so it won't cost you too much, and the course fee of Calcutta University is also very cheap.
Faculty: The faculties of the English Department is state of the art, every prof. Every prof. is a gem of a person. They will help you not just academically but in every aspect of your life. This college has a total of four faculty members in the English Department, and all of them are very unique in their own way.
Other: The campus is at College Street, the heart of Kolkata's intellectual discourse. In that way, it gives us a very vibrant campus life.

This college provides you knowledge and degree only. The campus and social life is good here.
Placements: The college won't provide you placements or internships. You have to find one yourself. As this college it not so popular, the recruiters will not get any information about your college. So, there is no publicity, and the college does not conduct many social events.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel of the college, the campus is too small. There is no Wi-Fi, and books are not available in the library. The college doesn’t conduct any sports and social events. There is no canteen, so if you want to get lunch, you need to go to the college street to eat.
Faculty: The teachers are so helpful and most of them have done their Ph.D. so, we can say they are highly qualified. Most of them teachers teach very well. The students do not get any practical experience. As the questions are moderate by the University of Calcutta, the semesters will be hard.
Other: The number of students is very less. The campus life is not so good.

Dark secret of our college.
Placements: Our college is not for placement because they never provide you placement. In the B.Com. general course, the lowest package is 4000 and the highest package is close to 5000. Our college is also not for internships; this college only offers you B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. (honors/general) courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so good; WI-FI is not available in our college; labs are also not available in our college; classrooms are good but chairs and tables are not good. Our college doesn't have its own hostel and canteen.
Faculty: The curriculum of the college is not good and some staff behavior is not good. Teaching quality is good but it is not helpful. This college is good for B.Com., but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. All semester exams are well and good and the pass percentage is 24.
Other: I chose the B.Com. course because this college is good for B.Com. students, and this course helps me get more job opportunities.

I would not recommend anyone to get admission here if you have any better options.
Placements: This college does not offer any placement support. You will not get placed after the completion of the course. You have to make your arrangement to get placed as no companies visit this college for campus placements. Even the college does not provide any internship opportunities to the students as they have no tie-up with any companies for such things.
Infrastructure: For the course, the college provides classrooms, Wi-Fi (up to 1 GB), labs and other necessary things relating with the course. But the college has no hostel facility, and it does not provide any canteen facility for the students. Small medical facilities are there in the college. Sports and some indoor and outdoor games are organised by the college and the student union.
Faculty: Most of the professors are very helpful, qualified, and well knowledgeable. The semester exams here are not that difficult. The course B.Com may not make you industry-ready. But this is the starting journey towards that. You need to study higher to be industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course to explore the commerce industry and the business world. The best thing about this course is that it is very interesting and different from other courses.

Chittaranjan college.
Placements: The placement record here is really good and is improving day by day. I have heard from our senior and seen from the college records that the average package offered is nearly around Rs 3.5 LPA- Rs 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like highly advanced lawns and well-maintained classrooms are provided here. The hostel fests are really good and have all the modern equipment in our labs. The classrooms are in mint condition. Medical facilities are also available, and the canteen facilities are also quite good.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and really helpful. You can approach them any time after class and even through text. Moreover, they constantly encourage us to pursue advanced courses which obviously helps during campus placements.
