CBSE Physical Education Class 12 Question Paper 2026 Pattern

The Theory paper of CBSE Class 12 carries 70 marks and project work comprises 30 marks. The distribution of questions in each section as per CBSE Class 12 exam pattern is given below.

  • Section A: This section consists of 18 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each worth 1 mark.
  • Section B: This section contains questions that require short answers of about 60-90 words. Each question carries 2 marks. 
  • Section C: This section involves long answers. Candidates must attempt 5 questions out of 6, with each question carrying 3 marks.
  • Section D: In this section, case study-based questions are asked. Questions comprises marks each.
  • Section E: This final section contains long-answer questions. Candidates are expected to answer any 3 questions out of 4, with each question carrying 5 marks.

CBSE 12th marking scheme for is such that 80 marks are allotted for Theory and 20 marks for Internal Assessment. The marking scheme for Science subjects have 70 marks and 30 for practicals.

If you are not satisfied with the marks, you can apply for revaluation or rechecking of the paper. The marks awarded after the rechecking/revaluation shall be considered as the final marks. Then a new marksheet will be issued to you thereafter.

The qualifying marks in each subject of external examination is 33%. The grading system is given below.

Yes, you can attempt questions in any sequence in CBSE board class 12. Just ensure that while attempting your CBSE board exam that you have attempted all the question with a question number written in such a way that examiner can see it properly. And in order to get good marks, it is important to make an impression which can be made by attempting those questions first that you know well. Thus, if you know question no. 12, then instead of 1, 2, attempt those question that you remember properly.
