Review of B.Voc food processing technology at Christ college Irinjalakuda!

Placements: My course has a 3-month internship and a 3-month project opportunity in the 6th semester. So I was able to gain experience in the food industry in Kochi. The college has a good placement cell and the placement percentage this year is higher than the previous year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the whole college is awesome. We have all the facilities, like a good garden, grounds, auditorium, clean bathrooms, library and every department has modest lab facilities. Our college gives major importance to sports. They also encourage the arts and other extracurricular activities.

Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and helpful but in our course, they are not well qualified. As B.Voc is a self-finance course, the teachers only have a qualification of M.Sc. Even though the lab and other facilities are good,. There is a processing and chemical lab. The semester exams and syllabus are simple compared to other courses.

Other: I chose this course because it was a vocational degree. Our course has more practical and internship opportunities than other courses. I wish our department had more faculty members. Even though there are industrial visits every semester, only very few happen due to the lack of faculty members.

Nice college to acquire a degree with enjoyment .

Placements: Currently, placement is in transition stage but there is improvement every year. I think they must be lacking by the support of management as well as students but in coming days, they would improve. As in last 2 years, there had been up to 200 placements.

Infrastructure: Library and classrooms are maintained very well but hostel is not much maintained. Hostel is located in the college near to ground and mainly hostel is available for the sports candidates and B.Ed students. Environment is very friendly, but the infrastructure is poor.

Faculty: High experienced faculty members as well as young teachers too are there. As an autonomous college, it provides mainly smooth flow of education. I think most of the courses offered in here is providing good job opportunities for the students. Fests conducted by students are nice.

For general category the closing mark was 143.
