{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Based on the feedback from current students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:Placement and Job Opportunities* Around 20% of students got placed in the course, with the highest salary package being INR7.2 LPA and the lowest being INR6 LPA.* Companies rarely visit the campus for placements, and students often rely on self-effort to secure internships or jobs.* Some students managed to land internships at organizations like HP, IOCL, and Bharat Petroleum, while others pursued freelance or part-time work.Infrastructure and Amenities* The college has nine physics laboratories, a central library, and a cafeteria.* While the infrastructure is dated, it is well-maintained, and students appreciate the availability of Wi-Fi connectivity.* Accommodation options include staying at a nearby hotel or finding private accommodations outside the campus.Teaching Quality and Curriculum* Professors are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.* The course curriculum covers a wide range of topics, making it relevant for future studies or careers.* However, some students felt that the curriculum didn't prepare them adequately for the industry.Other Factors* Extracurricular activities, such as seminars, workshops, and cultural events, are organized regularly.* The college offers scholarships, although these are limited.* Feedback suggests that the college administration could improve in terms of providing timely updates and addressing student concerns.Overall, while City College, Kolkata, has its strengths and weaknesses, it seems that students who are willing to put in effort outside of academia might find it a suitable option for pursuing a B.Sc. degree. However, those seeking guaranteed placements or robust industry connections might want to explore other options.

{Source: B.Com students & alumni}Here's a summary of the key points:* Placements: While placements are decent, with around 50% of students getting placed in companies like Infosys, HP, Oracle, TCS, Dell, etc., the salaries are relatively lower, ranging from INR10,000 to INR50,000 per month, with an average salary of INR30,000.* Faculty: Faculty members are generally considered helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive, providing guidance throughout the program.* Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is deemed relevant and makes students industry-ready.* Infrastructure: Although there are no significant issues with infrastructure, there is no canteen within the college premises, and students need to venture out to nearby areas for basic necessities.* Teaching Quality: Teaching quality is considered good, with lecturers being approachable and willing to clarify doubts.* Student Life: Students enjoy a range of extracurricular activities and events organized by the college, making it a vibrant academic environment.* Internships: Around 25% of students receive internships, with some notable companies participating in the internship programs. While City College Bangalore may have its limitations, it seems to offer a reasonable education experience for B.Com students. With decent placements, supporting faculty, and a relevant curriculum, students can expect to gain valuable skills and knowledge. However, it's essential to weigh these positives against the drawbacks, such as limited infrastructure and relatively lower salaries. Conclusion: Based on the reviews, City College Bangalore appears to be a suitable option for those interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com).
