A good college with CS engineering.
Placements: The placements and internships at College of Engineering, Kottarakkara are decent. Students with above 7 GPA usually get placed or get internships in various companies. Usually, good service-based companies visit the college every year. Overall, good opinion.
Infrastructure: Good college with decent infrastructure. It has good canteen. Mess and hostel facilities are within walking distance. Transportation facilities (college bus) are available from Kottarakkara KSRTC bus stand. The mess facility is good and hostels are nice as well. The college has proper lab facilities and a well-maintained library.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and cooperative. They guide you throughout your academic journey. The college is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and before that, it is affiliated with CUSAT.

CSE with AI and ML is a great opportunity in this field.
Placements: The placement here is I can say it is a neutral one. There are several opportunities provided for us to make it up. Companies like Zoho may seek to hire from here shortly. The better performance in the placement will lead to a better placement opportunity.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average, with nothing specific to highlight. The location is close to Kottarakkara and is surrounded by various government offices such as the court, police station, excise office, block panchayat, KILA, and a well-known company named ZOHO, which has a branch nearby.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-trained and up-to-date, possessing high skills in both lab-related and theoretical subjects. There are two internal series exams and an internal lab exam conducted by the college, in addition to the final university exam for each semester. The lab also has a university examination.
Other: Campus life is much better, as there is no pressure on students, providing them with genuine freedom in all endeavors. Students can engage in any activities of their choice.

It is a beautiful college if we are willing to live our college life a little.
Placements: Last year, a total of 32 students got placed. But I think it was for training at a company called QSpiders. Some of them did not get placed. I do not know the details of the package offered. Companies that come to our colleges are Infosys, Zoho, QSpiders, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and quality are above average, but the quantity is lower in the case of computers in labs, compared to other colleges. Every classroom has projectors, so faculty members often use them to show us presentations. The qualities of the hostel are average. I am not staying in the hostel, but I have heard from friends talking about it.
Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and friendly. They provide very qualitative teaching. All of them are very friendly to each student, and everyone helps each student to improve their skills. Faculty members even use extra classes to revise the topics before the examination starts. They even help us prepare for the exam by providing previous year question papers through WhatsApp.

Good college, almost everything is good.
Placements: For the 2021–2026 batch of the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering course, around 75–80% of students are placed through campus placements, with the highest package offered around 12 LPA, the lowest approximately 3.5 LPA, and an average package of 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and product-based companies like Zoho and IBM, while about 60–70% of students secured internships in companies such as TCS, Zoho, Virtusa, and local startups, with top roles including software developer, system engineer, data analyst, and technical support associate.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for our course is quite good. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, equipped with projectors and whiteboards. Wi-Fi is available throughout the academic block, and the lab facilities are decent with necessary equipment and software, though some systems could be better maintained. The library is well-stocked with relevant books and journals and provides a quiet space for studying.
Faculty: Faculty in our department are generally qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most of them are knowledgeable in their subjects and are willing to help students both inside and outside the classroom. They use a mix of traditional teaching and smart classrooms to make the sessions engaging. The curriculum is relevant and includes both theoretical and practical aspects. It helps build a solid base for higher studies or industry jobs, though a few subjects could be updated to meet current trends. Semester exams are moderately difficult. With regular attendance and preparation, it is possible to perform well.

A college in which students decide the vibe.
Placements: During recent years, about 20% of students have scored a GPA of above 7.5. So the placements for them are pretty easy. But the students below that certain GPA have to submit extra work worthy of their skills to placements. The highest package is about Rs 1,50,000 per month, and the lowest is Rs 65,000 per month. The average salary is Rs 1,00,000 per month. Most of them are from the company that is operating near the college, ZOHO and some of them are from the Technopark. So about 60% of students got placements by Zoho and other fields.
Infrastructure: The facilities for the core subject like computer science are very good. But for other subjects for 1st year like Physics, Chemistry, and Electronics are below average. The SDPK hall (seminar hall) is the main feature of the college. It is well-cleaned and has air-conditioning with sufficient laptops. Wi-Fi is available but it is slow. Classrooms and toilets are very tidy. The canteen provides great food for the faculty members and students. But they usually run out pretty soon. There is a ground in which students can play various games.
Faculty: Teachers are limited, but they are well knowledgeable on their subject. Teachers with Ph.D. are available and they are well qualified for the job they do. The curriculum is decent since it has both old and new subjects and topics. In the first couple of semesters, most of the topics are usually irrelevant. But they are basically the subjects that cover other fields of engineering. Semester exams are a bit difficult, and the pass percentage is around 35%.
Other: I chose this course because I always had a thing for games and software. Growing up, I always find myself trying to learn coding and programming. I was a Biology student, and I wanted to finally pursue my field. The ability to make dreams true and possible in the virtual world for me. Even though I have not got an idea of the entire course over 8 semesters. I believe the course could be much effective if it was more on application level, since theory is not my thing. The events in my college are very rare and only the students can host them.

You can definitely choose this college.
Placements: Our class has a total of 60 students. Placements are very few here; our previous batch only placed a few students. In our batch, aptitude tests are being conducted. No placements still. UST company has conducted an aptitude test for our batch; results will be declared soon. The college is trying its best to provide good placement assistance for us, like training us for aptitude tests, training for programming languages, etc.
Infrastructure: There are high-speed Wi-Fi services all over the campus and also the campus hostel. Specialized laboratories catering to the needs of specific courses are provided. Classrooms are well-ventilated and spacious; also, library facilities are available on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified with lots of experience and knowledge about their respective areas. Moreover, they are also quite willing to help (students) facing problems with their work. The course is well-structured and in tune with current trends, standards, and practices.
Other: I chose this course because I love learning about computers and technologies.
