It is the best veterinary college in Northeast India.
Placements: Maximum passed-out students are working in various government and private sectors. Some are running their farms and clinics. Many of them are working as Veterinary Officers (V.O.) in various districts. Some are working as Food Safety Officers (F.S.O.), and others are working in laboratories and various pharmaceutical companies.
Infrastructure: The buildings are good and very suitable for the needed facilities. The campus is full of trees and greenery. Classrooms are good and have digital boards, microphones, and a sound amplifying system. For practical education, laboratories and instructional farms are also present.
Faculty: Faculty members are amazing. They have completed their Master's and Ph.D. from reputed institutes in India, and many of them have done their higher studies in internationally reputed universities abroad. Their lecture delivery and practical teaching are fantastic.

This is the best veterinary college in the entire East region if you have a deep love for animals.
Placements: About 75% of students from the department get placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. The average package is around 6 LPA. 100% of students receive internships from our college. The top roles offered include becoming a veterinary doctor.
Infrastructure: Food is good. Labs are high everything is good. The library is one of the biggest in our entire union of colleges under the university. The food is clean and palatable not many spices but is nutritious at the same time. The mess and canteen are clean and affordable. Medical and sports facilities are available as usual.
Faculty: Studies are very good. I love the course so much that I chose it. I appreciate the yearly exam system because it gives us more time to study throughout the year. We don't follow a semester system. Exams can be difficult and hectic, but they teach us a lot.
Other: There is less competition in this field, so I like the course. ACM, ICM, and other festivals are organized at our college. A variety of sports events take place here, and I enjoy participating in them.

Good infrastructure but placements could have been better.
Placements: There is no college placement. It exists but very less students get placed like 4-7. All the placements have to be done offline. All the students seek for placement offline after completion of the course. The college has a placement cell but it is not very active in providing placements.
Infrastructure: They do have nice library facility but Wi-Fi is non functional. Canteen is average and sports facilities are average. Medical facility is not well-equipped. Classrooms do have AC and are well-equipped with mikes, but not all the classrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful but politics is involved. All the teachers are well qualified and very experienced. Students are exposed to clinical practices and internships in the final year which are paid. Teachers help in every aspect of clinical practices.

Review of College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University.
Placements: Our batch consists of 100 students in the second year (2020) batch. There are students from VCI, NER, NRI, and many other quotas. It is a government autonomous institution. We are provided with NAHEP training in the 4th year for foreign exposure. Moreover internships are done in 5th year.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious and comfortable. We have smart classrooms with well-equipped laboratories for practical classes too. Library is huge with good ample of various publications and books. The college canteen also provides good food. The college campus is full of positive energy.
Faculty: Teachers are indeed helpful in clearing doubts and providing us exposure to learn new things. Except that, faculty staff and other staff are also helpful. The course curriculum is vast that is provided by Veterinary Council of India. We have yearly term examinations.

Really good campus and library but little dissatisfied because of the fee.
Placements: Like most of the students from this course go for government jobs like VO (Veterinary Officer), Food Safety Officer etc. You can say almost every student passed out from this college are placed. The highest package is around 15 LPA and the lowest is around 6 LPA. Average package is around 10 LPA. Top recruiting company is Purabi, a dairy company. 100% students got internship in various places like clinics, zoo, various farms etc. Internship is compulsory here. Top roles offered in my course are Veterinary Offricers, Surgeon, specials in different departments like livestock, poultry, wildlife etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in our college is good. Free Wi-Fi is not available in campus. Internet connection is good here. The instruments in different labs like microscope are good and useful. Library is very good here. You will get almost all the books which are required for the course. And the environment inside the library is very peaceful and you can study well there. Classrooms are also large in size (150 student) having a SMART board and a blackboard. Hostel facilities are average but renovation work is going on in all the hostels. The quality of food is the only thing I don't like here.
Faculty: The teachers are very much qualified and they are friendly to the students. Teaching quality of almost the teachers are good though exceptions are there. BVSC and AH is curriculum relevant case it teaches Students not only to treat the animals but also their production and management. Yes it makes students industry ready. The internal exams are quite easy compared to the final exam. Pass person is 50%. .
Other: I chose this course because demand of veterinary doctors is raising now a days. It makes students industry ready. The best thing is that we can treat the voiceless creatures. I wish the fee can be less because for a middle class boy like me it is quite difficult to pay. Events and fests are organised almost every month. Campus is really good here. Connectivity is also good as there are market near the campus. Extracurricular activities are the best part of this college.

The beauty of veterinary College of Assam.
Placements: This college is one of the leading colleges in North East and the placement rate is above 90%. Along with government sectors the students can also get selected in private companies as a nutritionist in food production companies. There is also a scope of entrepreneurship in this course and you can also open your own farm and you can also be a scientist and can produce medicine.
Infrastructure: The labs are of superior quality and the classrooms are digitalised. The library has almost every necessary book and the infrastructure is good. The food provided is good and hygienic. And the hostels have geysers and 24?7 water facilities. It also has NCC course in the curriculum for the physical health of the students and under this NCC course horse riding is also included. There is an indoor stadium for badminton and Table Tennis and a volleyball field. It also has gym facilities and a shopping complex inside the campus for daily necessities.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well planned as there is an internal assessment after every 3 months and the exam is based on what is taught in the class. The teachers along with theoretical knowledge also shares their personal experiences in the working field and make the students industry ready. The exams are challenging as the screening of good students are done through them but the pass percentage goes upto 95%. .
Other: I wanted to be a medical professional but due to some reason I didn't get seat and the second preference was veterinary but after coming to this college I started to love this professions as our passion can't speak but the animals understand emotions and are very loyal. The college has a very fixed schedule so it would be better if there is a little bit flexibility otherwise my experience here is good.
