Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.

| B.Ed | Candidate must have completed either a Bachelor's Degree (Medical, Non-Medical, Arts or Commerce) or Master's Degree or any other equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks (45% SC, ST and Ex-Serviceman categories) from a recognized University established by law in India. |
| B.A. LL.B. | In case of SC/ ST candidates the maximum age limit shall be 22 years as on the above date. |
| LL.B. | Candidate must have completed bachelor degree in any faculty of University established by Law in India with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates). A candidate should not have completed the age of 26 years in case of boys, 28 years in case of Girls and 29 years in case of SC/ST as on 1st July 2019. |
