It is a private institute founded with the prime aim to impart comprehensive education in Media, Acting, Journalism, etc. The institute offers full-time undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas under three specialisations i.e. Television Production/ Digital Film Making, Broadcast Journalism, and Media Management. Apart from full-time courses the institute also offers a part-time certificate course in Acting and Anchoring. The curriculum offered by the institute is application-oriented that focuses on hands-on practical training. It also offers a unique opportunity of having over 50 live projects.

Deccan Education Society Institute of Film and Television offers certificate courses for the duration of three months in part-time mode. The classes for the same are conducted twice a week (i.e. on weekend). Candidates must have passed Class 10 and must be 16 years and above to become eligible for admission to certificate courses. The selection in the certification courses is based on the performance in the admission test and Personal Interview (PI). the medium of the programme is English and Marathi.
