A great place to learn about media and communication.
Placements: Masters in Communication and Journalism program at college had good placements. More than 75% of students were placed. The highest package was 8 LPA and the lowest was 4 LPA while the average package was around 6 LPA. Renowned media houses like NDTV, Zee, and digital marketing phones recruited graduates. More than 60% of students secured internships in well established organisations.
Infrastructure: The media department was well-equipped with modern studios, editing suites, and a media lab for hands-on training in broadcasting and content production. Library had excellent collection of books, case studies, and industry magazines. Hostels were clean and comfortable, with good Wi-Fi and power backup. Rooms provided in hostels were spacious and clean. The food provided in hostel was decent and campus also had a canteen where we could get a variety of food items.
Faculty: Faculty members were very experienced and approachable, with backgrounds in journalism, media production, and PR. The focus was on practical learning through assignments like feel reporting, video projects, and social media camps. Course curriculum was industry-relevant, covering topics like media ethics, digital marketing, and broadcast journalism. Exams were moderately challenging and focused on practical application.
