ESEDS School of Design Unveils “Khonoma” at Calcutta Times Fashion Week 2025

March 11, 2025: The first-year M.Des students of ESEDS School of Design, Techno India University, showcased their awe-inspiring collection “Khonoma” at the prestigious Calcutta Times Fashion Week 2025 at The Westin, Kolkata. Drawing inspiration from Khonoma, Asia’s first Green Village in Nagaland, the collection beautifully depicted a journey of transformation—from destruction to revival, symbolizing the resilience of nature and community.

ESEDS Design School Hosts AMD Berlin's Fredericke Winkler for Sustainability Session on Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries

March 28, 2024: Fredericke Winkler, Dean of Student Affairs | Studiengangsleitung, Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries (M.A.), AMD Berlin, was recently invited to the campus of ESEDS to promote a deeper understanding of sustainability within the domains of fashion and creative industries.

Winkler presented an interactive discussion at the ESEDS campus that was highly engaging, drawing on her broad experience. The audience, which included aspiring activists and sustainability aficionados, heard an insightful talk about sustainable business practices in the creative industries.

The event proved to be interesting for all attendees, ranging from discussing the critical role of creativity in crafting a greener future to exploring novel techniques. Winkler's knowledge and perceptions shed light on the relationship between creativity and sustainability, igniting thought-provoking conversations and innovative initiatives.

An ESEDS representative said, "We are honoured to have Fredericke Winkler grace our campus with her presence and share her wealth of knowledge with our students." "Her passion for sustainability and her expertise in the creative industries have undoubtedly left a lasting impression on all who attended."

In addition to encouraging upcoming professionals to embrace innovation and creativity as drivers for positive change, the seminar emphasised the significance of integrating sustainable practices into the fabric of the fashion and creative sectors.

The college is excellent. In my experience, until now, it is very good and fantastic.

Placements: ESEDS has 200+ top national and international recruiters who assure successful placement rates. I am still a student of this college. I have heard about seniors getting placement in companies such as AWA, Aditya Birla, Turtle and many more excellent companies.

A Peaceful and Soothing Place. A Wonderful Design College.

Placements: I am a student of Advanced Professional Interior Design, a Certificate course in ESEDS. Many students from this course have achieved good breaks in the industry. The course is very relevant nowadays and our college is doing a great job in making students well prepared for the industry. After completing the course, they can work as an interior designer, furniture designer, set designer, event planner, entrepreneur, etc.

Good infrastructure and faculty members .

Placements: Placements are good. I have seen many seniors get good placement in such a renowned industry. Though I'm now in first semesters from APID batch so can't say more about placement. Let's see what will happen in future and I hope for the best.

Its's a good college you. You will definitely enjoy it.

Placements: The percenof students are around 85-90%. The highest package is approximately 25-20L and the lowest will be around 5-7L. Like Google, Microsoft etc. 90% students get internship from my course. The role offered is as senior level role. This is best for student to. Study at senior level for their future betterment.
