The college is moderate, but it is still good.
Placements: According to college data, 70% of students got on-campus placement. The highest package from my course was around 6 LPA, and the lowest was around 1.5 LPA. Many companies came to recruit from our college, but the top ones were Amazon, TCS, Infosys, etc. Around 6–7 students get placed at Amazon from our department every year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course/department was very good. What I liked about my college was a lot. We had dedicated 2 labs only for our department students. A seminar room was also present where students could discuss events and spend their time. There were also dedicated Wi-Fi and a single but well-maintained library. Although hostel students said the rooms were not that good. The food sometimes came out to be bad. The canteen food was definitely bad, and the medical facilities were not very good.
Faculty: Teachers/faculty members were very helpful for my course. Most of them had multiple degrees. Their teaching was good. The course curriculum was not completely relevant, but it definitely made students industry-ready. Semester exams were moderate and were conducted depending on the university (MAKAUT). The passing percentage was around 60%.
Other: I chose this course because it was one of the best courses from this college, but I think the studies could have been better. There were many (6–7) events that happened throughout the entire college year. The campus stayed crowded, and scholarships were available.

I'm satisfied with the faculty, good placements, good infrastructure, facilities, etc.
Placements: Approximately 80 percent of students got placed. The average package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Career Comfort, Wipro, Huron, Zensar, Tech Mahindra, Teleperformance, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. Internship is less as we have got more job opportunities.
Infrastructure: FIEM's 5-acre Kolkata campus features more than 32 smart classrooms, over 82 labs, and a 60k-book library. It offers 3 AC auditoriums, Wi-Fi, sports grounds, and a canteen. This eco-friendly hub blends modern tech with top amenities for students. I was not in the hostel, but I heard from others that it is good.
Faculty: FIEM admits via WBJEE, JEE Main, and MAT offers B.Tech, MBA, MCA, BCA, and Media Science. Faculty includes experienced Ph.D. holders with a 1:25 ratio. They provide strict, supportive guidance in core streams like CSE/ECE, ensuring industry readiness. Good faculty and exams are conducted strictly.

Reliable academics and decent placements with good overall facilities
Placements: 35 to 50 percent of students usually get placed at FIEM Kolkata, with CSE and IT often recording higher placement rates. The highest packages reach around 9 to 12 LPA, while most students get offers between 3 and 5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini visit the campus regularly. Many students also secure internships in IT and consulting roles through these recruiters.
Infrastructure: FIEM Kolkata provides a good set of facilities for engineering students. Classrooms are clean and have projectors, and the campus offers Wi-Fi which may vary in speed at times. Labs for CSE, IT, and core branches are equipped well enough for regular practicals. The library has a strong collection of books, journals, and digital resources. The campus includes auditoriums and seminar halls for events and workshops. Sports facilities cover football, cricket, and indoor games like table tennis and basketball.
Faculty: The faculty at FIEM Kolkata is supportive and teaches with a mix of theory and practical examples. The curriculum follows MAKAUT guidelines and is updated to match industry needs. Exams are held regularly with internal assessments and end-semester tests keeping students on track.
Other: FIEM has the best fest in Kolkata. I can definitely say that no other college gives such an enjoyable and friendly environment.

Overall, a good college. You should come here.
Placements: 95 percent of students were placed last year. The placement is very good, and many companies come here, like TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 30 LPA, and sometimes it's more than this average package, which is 7 LPA-8 LPA, but the below-average package is 2 LPA-3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. Overall very good and very nice. The department has actively engaged students through hands-on training, field internships, and specialized coaching for slow learners. The use of innovative pedagogical techniques is also increasing. So many faculty members are there. Good teachers. They help you as they can, and the students participating in class discussions and group work, they help students to work on balancing a long-term project and any confusion about the assignment, etc.

I am absolutely satisfied with the placement opportunities and the faculty members.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed from my college. The placement cell was very active and efficient. Wipro was one of the major recruiters. Most students secured jobs in companies like Infosys, Mindtree, and TCS. The faculty members of the ECE department were excellent. The highest package offered was around 8-9 LPA, while the average package was between 3.5 to 4 LPA. The roles were mainly for management trainee, analyst, and software developer positions. Overall, this college is very good for placements in ECE, CSE, and IT streams.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, and the building condition is acceptable. Hostel facilities are not available on the college campus, but paying guest accommodations are available nearby. The labs are excellent and well-maintained, with practical sessions taken very seriously. The library is outstanding and a great place to study. Wi-Fi facility is available. There is a small canteen where snacks are served, but the playground is quite small.
Faculty: Teachers in the ECE department are highly qualified, with most faculty members holding master’s degrees from IITs. Students can easily score well by regularly attending classes, as the sessions are extremely helpful. Labs are conducted effectively. Semester exams are held strictly, following the MAKAUT curriculum. Scoring above a 6 CGPA generally ensures passing.
Other: I chose this course because it offered good value for money, with semester fees of just 40,000, and the college’s main focus on placements. However, the infrastructure needs improvement, as it currently resembles a school more than a college. The college hosts fests like Xplorica, a technical fest involving bot-making and technical applications, and Culrav, a cultural fest that was very enjoyable. Many popular singers, such as Gajendra Verma and Jonita Gandhi, have performed. Extracurricular activities like debate competitions and games are regularly organized.

The facilities and infrastructure are really very good, and the teachers are very helpful.
Placements: 70% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000, and the lowest is Rs. 20,000. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, and Amazon. 60% of students get internships from our course. The top roles are software development, web development, and data analysis.
Infrastructure: In the labs and library, there are ACs, and the classrooms are very neat and clean. The internet connection, i.e., Wi-Fi, is very good, and we never face any issues while doing any class in the lab. Almost every sport is played in our college on our FIEM ground. Every food is available at the canteen, and the quality is also very good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and cooperative with the students, and they always reach us to solve our problems. The teaching quality is very commendable. The semester exams are difficult compared to the first and second years. The last two years are difficult.
