My college experience wouldn't have been good without, I would have dropped out.

Placements: Placement ratio of our college is very poor. Only hospital management and optometry have some scope. Only startup companies are recruiting currently in my course. Almost everyone can get an internship, which is unpaid. Top role offered in my course is web development.

Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is quite decent. Facilities are average, but many equipment required for my course BCA are available in the college. There are two computer labs, only one of them has good computers, while the other one is almost unused. Medical facilities are rare, and there are no sports activities.

Faculty: Teachers are not highly qualified, but they have immense knowledge and experience in their field of teaching. A few of the new teachers are inexperienced, with minimal knowledge and no teaching skills. Course curriculum is relevant in the long term, but only if one pursues MCA from a reputed college, otherwise, it feels like a waste of time and money. Semester exams are decent, but university questions are often surprising because they don't follow their question pattern. Most of the questions are out of the syllabus. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose the course because it has immense application in this new era, the computer era, with AI technology advancement to learn new things. The best thing about this course is that one can innovate and upgrade every day with new technology advancements.

Review of George College of Management and Science, George Group of Colleges.

Placements: The students get placed through off-campus drives. The college doesn't play any role in that. Students have to get placed on their own.

Infrastructure: They maintain the minimum standards that are needed. The library staff are rude. In the name of the hostel, they will accommodate you in a random house in the locality.

Faculty: The course curriculum is based on the university, so it is the same everywhere. But there are a few faculty members who will bully poor students just to satisfy their ego. They take out their frustration on students. The college administration should look into this issue.

The infrastructure is not much good, but the faculty members are good and helpful to all students.

Placements: In George College of Management and Science, roles offered after completing the course are software developer and tester. The salary package offered is usually 1.8 LPA for MCA degree. Courses offered in our college like bachelor degree in optometry, etc., have a good reputation for getting good placements. Hospital management is also one of the finest courses here.

Infrastructure: In George College of Management and Science, Maheshtala branch, the hostel facility is available, but it is not up to the mark. It is situated in a residential area, where students face problems. However, our college management is well and good, and the canteen is also up to the mark. All basic amenities are available near the college, and the management in the hostel is fine. Our college is located outside the city, and the nearest location to it is Taratala which is well connected to Kolkata.

Faculty: There are good faculty members in BCA to learn new technologies, and it is very helpful to start a career in programming. Teachers are also responsible for making students to be in a good position in three years. Students from arts background can also start a career in the software field as a developer after pursuing BCA.

Other: The course content is good as all students from science, arts and commerce background have mathematics subject in their intermediate, or students who have a computer as a subject in their intermediate are eligible for the course. Scholarships are not offered during the course, and the entire course fee is feasible and less than other private colleges. Here students can get a good library and lab facilities to do new courses. A technical fest is organised every year to boost the course for new programmers to know the technologies of the upcoming market.
