Yes, GLS Institute of Design conducts a Design Aptitude Test to select candidates for admission. Aspirants who pass the test need to also pass the personal interaction round for final selection. The test will be conducted on Jan 24/ Jan 25, 2026.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 can apply for UG courses at GLS Institute of Design. The institute offers BDes, Integrated BDes-MDes and BDes (Hons) Global courses at the UG level. Aspirants must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in Class 12 to apply for UG programmes.

Candidates need to pay an application fees to apply at GLS Institute of Design. The application fees is INR 2,000 for a course. Aspirants can pay the fees via any of the online payment modes. Candidates must keep the fee receipt with them for future reference.

BDes at GLS Institute of Design is given in multiple specialisations for the duration of four-years. Also, the institute offers BDes + MDes course for five-years in multiple specialisations. GLS Institute of Design MDes admission depnds on aptitude test scores. Students are required to complete the eligibility criteria and apply online on the authorised website. The final seat allotment is based on the GLS DAT. Thus, no direct admissions are not allowed. You need to match with all of the admission formalities. 

While an accurate scheduled date for the specific starting of the MDes 2026-27 session has not been announced by institute. But, the academic cycles at GLS Institute of Design (GLSID) suggests that the new MDes session initiates in July or August.
