There are not enough hostels for students enrolled at GLS Institute of Design which are not enough to accommodate all the students but there are numerous PG accommodations available near the campus in which students can take bed/ room on rent by paying the required accommodation charges. Candidates seeking beds in the institute’s affiliated hostels are advised to visit the administrative block at GLS Institute of Design or visit the institute’s official website for clarification on the same. Also, there are two canteens available inside the campus, parking facilities, and other important facilities which cater for the needs of students.
Faculty Reviews
Faculty: Our college has well-educated faculty members. They are passed out from national colleges and have a good experience, which helps in understanding design better and guides us through the process. The student-to-teacher ratio is 1:3. The college is good. I like its education system personally.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, especially for the product design course. Teachers are Ph.D. holders, so that creates a good impact. The pass percentage is around 99%. The course curriculum is relevant for the product design field but not that relevant for other fields.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-qualified in their respective fields. We enjoy learning with teachers, and they are also very helpful in whatever field you seek help. Our director, Dr. Anil Sinha, is an expert in graphic designing. His knowledge and experience in the field are very inspiring. We also learn a lot from our classmates, and there are also various courses in which we group with the other field classmates like students from product design. We get to learn much from these courses.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified to teach. Some faculty have studied at GLSID itself. Many faculty have master's degrees from NID. The curriculum is divided into different modules. Geometric, Design Drawing, and more. There are assignments and practical-based work.
