September 13, 2024: Gnanam School of Business organised a seminar on “Lead To Win The Emerging Market” which was lectured by Dr.R. Srinivasan Iyengar.
He commenced the session with “What is Management?” and taught that management refers to Process. Further, he moved on to strategy which means having limited resources, how can they compete with others? He gave a lot of real-time examples and also played videos relevant to persistence. By this, students could easily understand strategies that can be applied in the business.
Next, he explained the concept of VRIN (Valuable, Rare, Imitable, Not substitutable) understandably. He explained the names of the brands, and how it has come, such as Chik and Jio. Students discussed strategies that are used by Patanjali. He conducted a brainstorming activity regarding effectiveness vs efficiency to make students interact with each other.
