Review of Government College, Nattakom.
Placements: From my experience, the college environment is very good and peaceful. There are a total of 15 seats for the B.Sc. in Geology course in this college. Since this case is not self-financed, only the exam fee and the university fee have to be paid. Some years, placements are held in the college. As a part of this course, we will get an opportunity to do internships in big food manufacturing companies from the second semester. We can also get a job immediately after completing the course. Choosing this college and course is a great decision.
Infrastructure: The hostel has a good infrastructure. One of the important rules in this hostel is to follow the daily routine and study without any interruption. The warden will take good care of students. The hostel ensures the safety of students.
Faculty: Teachers teach very well and provide notes. Teachers are very friendly. Teachers test students' academic performance by administering class tests from time to time. They also provide more attention to students who are lagging in their studies by improving their academic performance.
Other: I chose this course because I heard that the course and teachers are good and friendly.

I've been fortunate to experience expectational faculty members, good infrastructure, and facilities
Placements: The college provides campus placement for only a limited number of courses, such as B.Com. Many students, including me, find the situation to be less than ideal and difficult; it narrows down our graduation employment prospects.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure that are needed for the course were provided; labs were there; and programming languages like Python were taught. I was a day scholar and I don't think I can give a clear opinion about the hostel and it's facilities but as it is a government college, the hostel fees are really affordable and some students who were from the economically weaker section don't have to pay.
Faculty: The teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable. And it was also a privilege to study under those teachers at the government college in Kottayam. The course curriculum is relevant and helps students learn more about the subject.
The semester exam was not really tough and the pass mark was 24 out of 80.
Other: I love math; that's why I took it for my graduation. The course provides deep knowledge about the subject.

A good college is worthy to join.
Placements: Placement is poor, in my batch, no one is placed anywhere. Fees are comparatively very cheap than other colleges, placement is the only one not given at that college. Exams are very simple teachers share model questions and answers with students they are fully supported.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus, Good Foods is in the canteen, there are so many sports items, the best labs, and so many books are in the library. Green campus. Students engaging have so many programs. Cleaned campus, also have a gym for boys and girls completely free.
Faculty: Easy to pass semester exams, and teachers are fully supported so don't worry about it. In this college good qualified teachers only so they have more experience how to teach her students. This is one of the best campuses in Kottayam, and also students have so much freedom.
Other: Events are the best in college, eco-friendly campus, students have so much freedom.

The college has a campus, but more area is not used appropriately. College has average facilities.
Placements: About 43 students are currently in my batch. The highest strength is in our batch. This course has offered various job opportunities to students. The course also provides various higher study options. Most of the students are choosing this course. Many students who have already passed out had even an average job.
Infrastructure: The college has a wide campus. We have boys' and girls' hostels available. A newly inaugurated ladies' hostel is there with more infrastructure and facilities. Mess and canteen are also there on the campus. Classes are good in college. A calm and quiet library is available in college.
Faculty: There is a friendly teaching staff in college. They are well qualified. Semester exams are more likely to be okay. It makes students know what is happening currently. The study is relevant here. Semester exams are often seen lag. Results are also out late. College conduct model exams before the official ones.
Other: I want to study political science, so I chose it. It would be nice if we got to see some places that we are studying, like the Parliament. Festivals and events are held frequently in college.

College life is not that good.
Placements: I'm a BA political science student from batch 2023 to 2026 at Government College, Nattakom. In my honest opinion, I think after completing the UG course in politics, there is less chance of getting placed, because an MA or another further course is needed to be placed. Internship percentage is less, but for an honours degree, I think internship opportunities are available.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good in the college. For the political science course, there are new buildings and classes, and there is a good library. Especially, the hostel facility is very good. In the 2025 academic year, a new ladies hostel was inaugurated, and 200 girls can accommodate on that hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly to the students. If we try, we can pass the semester exam with less tension. The teaching quality is good, but at the same time, the passing percentage is sometimes lower, otherwise, it's good. There are qualified teachers in college.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in studying political science, and I am also going to prepare for the NET and UPSC examinations. Those who are interested in the Bachelor of Arts, political science is a highly recommended course. I think campus life is not that enjoyable at this college.
