B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2028

It’s a lovely college to build your career.
Placements: Mostly, 90% of students are getting placements from our department. As per my knowledge, the average package is 6.5 LPA. Top reputable companies, as well as the government sector, hire our nursing students. It plays a vital role in the development of skills and experience.
Infrastructure: The university infrastructure is stunning and excellent. Lab facilities are well-settled, and the equipment is also available. Wi-Fi is available in our department, and there is a library to study in. A canteen is also available and get full of stomach.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is excellent, and they are loving and caring. Their qualifications are excellent. They are highly experienced. The syllabus is aligned with NIT, IIT, and MBBS colleges. The semester exams are moderate, but you still have to study. Practical exams are taken very seriously.
Other: I chose this due to its presence in our locality. A scholarship is also provided by the state government.

B.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2025
4.4

The heaven for an extrovert.
Placements: The college is said to be providing placements, but I am unaware of any placements till now, as I am a final-year student. It is said that those who score higher marks and pass an interview can secure placements. Students who get high university ranks are here. Those students can avail of a package worth 1 lacs.
Infrastructure: There are 14 undergraduate and post graduate courses. The college is facilitated by vast library, classrooms, and laboratories. College Wi-Fi is provided. B.Sc. Zoology course has a museum, laboratory, research room and classrooms. I didn't opt for a hostel as I am a day scholar but it was said not to be good at all. The mess and canteen are good. Our college is known well for sports. There is a team for cricket, football, tug of war, handball, etc. The physical education department is well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained and experienced. The way they teach is unique, in that there is no student-teacher relationship as such. Teachers are committed to teaching and considerate of students. The course curriculum offers you various and wide varieties of opportunities in the future; however, it still needs to be relevant in the case of practical skills. Semester exams are not at all difficult, but students who get arrears are high. One needs to get 16 marks out of 40.
Other: I chose this course because, firstly, I love anything about 'living' and Zoology is such an interesting course to do. The campus is beautiful, with vast areas. There are spots in college such as 'velakkintadi' and 'plavintadi' where students gather. The people here are extroverts and one could make friends irrespective of departments. The number of events is high here. It has such a vibe. One thing about college is that it's not just for academic things. It gives importance to extracurricular activities too.

B.A. in Kannada - Batch of 2023

Life of Government College, Kasaragod.
Placements: Our college provides courses like B.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, and B.Com for commerce students, and B.A. in economics, History, English, Malayalam, Kannada, and Arabic for arts students, and computer science. Our college is under the control of Kannur University. It also has an official website, and here, we can apply for a degree seat & control examination as well. Students who score more than 85% in 12th grade get internships and scholarships. (Minimum 75% is required to join here).
Infrastructure: We have good classroom facilities like whiteboards, windows, and good lab facilities. It has an advanced library. We have a good canteen, where they provide good and hygienic food at a cheap rate. In games, we mostly have advanced ground facilities. We play cricket mostly. We also play games like football, kho-kho, and handball.
Faculty: Our college has the most prominent, extraordinary, and well-known professors. Most of them achieved a doctorate and a PhD degree in their field. I appreciate their teaching skills. We have 3 years in a degree, 1st year 1-2 semester, 2nd year 3 and 4 semester, and 3rd year 5 and 6 semester. As we study, we can see the increasing level of difficulty in exams. As a student, I like this system.
Other: I joined the B.A. Kannada course, because I like this language. It is closely related to my mother tongue as well. Kannada history, literature, and their achievements, cultures really motivate us to do something for the country, and it gives goosebumps. As a student, I wish my department would improve our library facilities (as compared to the central library). The college organises an event named Kalotsavam, and in this event, we can see cultural and traditional acts like Yakshagaana, Kathakkazhi, Oppana, Margamkazhi, Mohiniyattam, and other folklore dances. We also celebrate festivals like Onam, Christmas, and Ramzan to show our unity in diversity.

M.A. in English - Batch of 2021

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It is the best college in Kasaragod and one of the best colleges in Kerala.
Placements: M.A. English has a total strength of 16. Graduates with above 75% OGPA gets admission through allotment. Free education is provided, and one just needs to pay below 2,000 while joining (that will be returned through a scholarship exam, and the fee per semester is also below 2,000). 4 university rank holders were from our batch. Almost all the pass-outs got jobs in great institutions, and some are pursuing further studies. Top jobs offered are guest lecturers in private colleges, teachers in higher secondary schools, content writers, translators etc.
Infrastructure: The college is re-accredited with a grade A by NAAC. It has huge buildings, with 14 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses. Wi-Fi is available for the staff, and I never saw any students use it. For every course, there is a lab, and for language and literature courses, there is a language lab. Labs are well-equipped. Huge classrooms are available with blackboards and whiteboards. There is a separate building for the library with thousands of books (more than 10,000 books). The college hostels are very affordable, and there are scholarships for hostelers too. Food is very nutritious and tasty. Rooms are huge and well cleaned with proper washrooms and a dining area. There is a medical help through NSS/NCC volunteers. There are two hospitals very near to college. The college supports all kinds of sports and arts. There are stages and a college auditorium for arts fests and a football ground, tennis court, basketball court, cricket practice ground, etc., for sports.
Faculty: Most of the teachers have PhDs and years of experience. They are very helpful and explain all the concepts clearly. The teaching quality here is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant because without an M.A., you cannot teach a language subject in a college, and almost all courses have a language subject to study in their curriculum. Students are well trained here for taking classes through regular class taking and seminars in classes. The exams are a bit difficult, but the teaching environment here makes it easy for you by making you more productive. Almost every year, there will be university rank holders from this college. The pass percentage is really high compared to other colleges.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a lecturer. To be a lecturer in a language course at a private college, you need an M.A. in a particular subject and at a government college, you need M.A. NET and PhD with your name in the PSC list. The best thing bout this course is that our language skills are developed, our general knowledge broadens, we get less and less judgemental, invoke sympathy and empathy in us etc. I think this course should focus not only on making us future teachers, historians, etc., but also MNC-ready by involving more technical skills. There are college fests for both arts and sports, and the winners will be taken to inter-college university fests. There are also fests like mehndi fest, food fest, Maths fest, IT fest etc. The college supports all kinds of decent extracurricular activities. There are lots of scholarships and college supports students to take those scholarships too. Campus surroundings are very eco-friendly and naturally beautiful so that students love to spend their free time in the college itself rather than going out.

B.A. in English - Batch of 2023

I'm from the 2023 batch, satisfied with my college life, and expect more development.
Placements: In my class, it's up to 40 students. I suggest that it would help if they provide more seating in college so more students can join. They provide help, like scholarship facilities that helped me a lot with certain needs I have. I have scholarships of 2 or 3, so they would be debited at the correct time. My course only has the availability for students to opt for further PG, B.Ed, film direction, or other things.
Infrastructure: Each spot had its name, and every place gave me so many memories. I used to feel like there should be a bit more of a garden area, too. A good canteen with good quality food, events are held more in our college, and celebrations are welcome for each program by the authorities. The library feels like heaven; we would usually visit when we get free time, and each course has its section of library books and items for studies. Classrooms and labs are suitable for presentations; the computer system is good in sports too, and they would conduct each sport with equal value.
Faculty: Feels structured up to 3000 yearly, so for 3 years, it would be 9000. Exams are easy and tough according to how we prepare, but teachers guide us the most. They provide facilities, and if we are behind in studies, they would help bring us up. They would also take care of us in everything. The pass percentage each semester for one subject would be a minimum of 22 or 16.
Other: Nothing to say about programs; our college students enjoyed conducting events here. They gave importance to both events and exams. I prefer that people give the students a detailed idea about certain courses and their future importance because some of them join each course without knowing about its importance and future aspects.

Our college is good, but the admission process is not easy.
Placements: Around 40-50 companies visit our college for placements to recruit students. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, etc. They test students technically and conduct different types of exams or other practical coding works.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has good libraries.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but they don't have professional knowledge of companies. They don't have any experience in their field. Nowadays, students have different ways to express themselves to work in companies and have different passions. The course is difficult to pass. Exams are difficult. Students have to struggle a lot. Students should have the practical knowledge to pass exams.
Other: Our college has many clubs and national service schemes like NSS, etc. Many cultural activities and sports activities are held in our college every year.
