B.K. Mody Government Pharmacy College (BKMP) in Rajkot is a good option if you want a cheap pharmacy course. The fee is comparatively very low, between INR 2,200 to INR 8,400 per annum, which makes it one of the cheapest pharmacy colleges in Gujarat. It's a government college with PCI and AICTE approval, and even the B.Pharma course has NBA accreditation. Placement is a mixed bag, though. Median pay for B.Pharma and M.Pharma can vary from INR 1.38 to INR 2.1 LPA, though in some instances, students topped up to INR 4.5 LPA. Such recruiters include Zydus Cadila, Sun Pharma, Cipla, and Tirupati Medicare. Placement percentages differ some quote 50–70% for B.Pharma, while some reviews quote even 100%. Conversely, the college is not ranked too highly nationally it fell in the 101–125 bracket in NIRF 2023 rankings, although it's performed better locally within Gujarat at around #5 to 8 in the recent past. Infrastructure is good, but can be upgraded, particularly at the hostel and campus facilities. Overall, it's a good college for foundational pharmacy education if you're prioritizing affordability over brand name or high-end placements.
