The best college of engineering in Bihar.
Placements: About 30% of students get pre-placement offers. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Cisco and HCL. Around 100% of students get internships. System engineer is the top role. The college invites the best companies and companies with official partnerships to come and interview students to assess their potential.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available such as laboratories, classrooms, library, Wi-Fi, etc. The food served in the mess is very good. Canteen is very good. Sports events are conducted in this college. It is too good if I compare it to NITs due to the lesser capacity of students. Our hostel and related things are too good. In my room, three beds are available. There are two boys' hostels and one girls' hostel. Due to the capacity of students, it is too good for us here.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. The teaching quality is average. They are very egocentric and moody. They are not helpful and qualified. Course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderate. The passing percentage is around 70%-80%.
Other: One thing is Bihar Engineering College grows day by day. It will make a huge impact in some years.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: This college was established in the year 2019. It is operated via the campus of Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering till date. Placements are very good. Around 5 students got placed in the computer science branch. The minimum salary package offered was 3 LPA. The maximum salary package offered was 5 LPA. Almost 35% of students got internships at Indian Railways, NTPC, etc. Top roles offered are assistant consultant, IT analyst, assistant system engineer, system engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available such as laboratories, classrooms, library, Wi-Fi, etc. The food served in the mess is very good. Canteen is very good. Sports events are conducted in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. The teaching quality is average. They are very egocentric and moody. They are not helpful and qualified. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderate. The passing percentage is around 70-80%.
Other: I was assigned the course according to the counseling and JEE Mains percentile. The course is very interactive. I chose this course because of my interest in it. Placements are average for the core engineering branch, so it can be made more industry-friendly by adding IT-demanding disciplines. Events and fests are conducted in this college. Our college has three branches named Government Engineering College of Buxar, Government Engineering College of Bhojpur, and Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering.

Dissatisfied with placements, but good faculty, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: There are very few placements, especially for ECE and CSE branches, as no companies visit this college. A few placements from sales companies are offered to 10-20 students with packages of 4-5 LPA. About 4-5 students from the Civil and Mechanical branches get placed in their core companies. No industrial internships are provided. Students have to arrange them on their own.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is average. Classrooms and the library are good and well-maintained. The library has many books, including those for competitive exam preparation. Free Wi-Fi is available in the library, academic building, and all hostels. Labs are currently being set up and are not fully ready yet, as the campus is new. There is only one girls' hostel and two boys' hostels. Girls' hostel rooms are triple shared. Mess food is average. Sports facilities are available. There is a college medical clinic where a doctor is present every day according to a set schedule.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They mostly come from reputed universities like IITs and NITs. Teaching quality is good except for a few teachers. The university course curriculum is outdated and lacks practical exposure. Semester exams are conducted by the university, and the exam center is allotted at GEC Bhojpur. Exams are quite easy, but paper checking is quite strict.
Other: ECE faculty members are good at this college. Faculty members encourage students to crack competitive exams like GATE. However, there is no industrial exposure while learning here. The college conducts various events and celebrations, but no fests. Scholarships are provided to all students (except GENERAL/EWS category) of Rs. 14,000-Rs. 15,000 per year through PMS portals. Connectivity is good, but the campus location is quite distant (8 km) from the main town or railway station.

It is a good college that charges a low fee.
Infrastructure: Our building is under construction. Wi-Fi, labs, laptops, cameras, printers, projectors, etc., should be accessible to students.
Faculty: We need more faculty members. Exams are very tough.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because there are many job opportunities in the government sector.

We don't have our own campus till now our class is going in Bakhtiarpur engineering college .
Placements: We are first batch of Buxer engineering college,, so till now, 0% placements are there. We almost done internship from Bihar only in BSPTCL on transmission line but there were almost fake as they take 2 days class of internship and give certification of one month.
Infrastructure: Lab classes didn't held on a single day. Classrooms and library are almost good. Canteen doesn't start properly even till now. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was excellent. This course doesn't make the students industry ready. They are just doing their job and more we have the responsibility to read and learn something from them. Faculty although are qualified, but we all know that in the scenario of Covid-19, almost all classes held in online mode.

GEC Buxar - IIT Buxar, we call it due to its strictness.
Placements: Spine last year, so many students were placed, but the placement amount was low. It was about 10 LPA max, and in 2022, it was about 8 LPA, so it grows day by day. This college provides too many courses—ECE, EE, CSE, ME, Civil, and many specializations are also there. So just consider joining.
Infrastructure: It is too good if I compare it to NITs due to the lesser capacity of students. Our hostel and related things are too good. In my room, three beds are available. There are two boys' hostels and one girls' hostel. Due to the capacity of students, it is too good for us here.
Faculty: Our faculty is too supportive and hardworking for the growth of students. Exams are also on time, like some mid-sems just happening in some days. Our faculty's teaching style is also too good here. One more thing about our faculty is that all are trained and chosen by special exams.
Other: One thing is Bihar Engineering College grows day by day. It will make a huge impact in some years, definitely.
