BCECE 2026 Exam: Dates, Eligibility, Application, Pattern, Syllabus

Students who completed their Class 12 Board exam and looking for the opportunity to pursue higher education are advised to appear in the BCECE exam. 

Candidates can apply to BSc, BSc nursing, pharmacy, and paramedical programmes through the BCECE exam. It is advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. 

Yes, the applicant must belong to Bihar state or Candidate's parents must be a permanent residence of Bihar state. Candidates belonging to the parents who are permanent registered refugee of Bihar state can also apply. If student's parents belong from different state, but they are government employee of Bihar state are also eligible to apply.

The BCECE exam is conducted annually for admission to various professional courses in medical, engineering, and agricultural streams across institutions in Bihar. Applicants are advised to fill out the form separately for different choices of streams to appear in the exam. It is expected that the BCECE 2026 exam will be conducted in the first week of June 2026. The notification and application form are likely to be released in the first week of April 2026. 

The exam conducting authorities are likely to release the BCECE 2026 application form in online mode in the first week of April 2026. The tenure is likely to be for a month. After the completion of the registration process, the authorities will provide an application correction window to enable candidates to make changes in the BCECE application form. 

A candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from recognised board. Candidates must have a domicile of Bihar State. The minimum age of the candidate will be 17 years as on December 31, 2025. The candidates should have scored 45 percent on aggregate in qualifying examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects. The Applicants’ parents should be domiciled in the state of Bihar.

BCECE exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based). Candidates will be provided an OMR sheet in which they will have to fill in the correct option among the choices provided. Once marked on the OMR sheet, it cannot be erased as it will be filled with the pen. Test-takers will be allowed to fill only one answer option on the OMR sheet among four answer options.

The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the rank card and the merit list. The BCECE counselling participation criteria is the basic merit scored in the entrance exam. All the applicants who were declared qualified as per the BCECE result had to further appear in BCECE counselling, and then their shortlisting will be done by authorities.

Accordingly, the last date to fill the application form is likely to be scheduled in the first week of May 2026. The exam duration of BCECE paramedical exam is 4.5 hours. There will be 1.5 hours (90 minutes) each to attempt three sections namely, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In this duration, candidate will have to solve 300 multiple-choice questions in offline mode.

Yes there is negative marking in the BCECE paramedical exam marking scheme. As per the guideline issued by the exam conducting body, for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks and one mark would be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Students who want to appear in the BCECE exam must solve all the questions that are asked in the exam previously. A total of three subjects, from which questions are asked in the exam, are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The number of questions asked in the exam is 100. 

The questions asked in the PCB section of BCECE are of Class 12 level. The exam is of medium difficulty level. Candidates have to solve 300 objective-type questions in 4.5 hours. The BCECE paramedical question paper is provided in both Hindi and English languages. An OMR sheet is provided at the test centre. 

Some important topics from BCECE Physics syllabus are: Physical-world and measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, Heat and Thermodynamics, Properties of Bulk Matter, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid body, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Current Electricity, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Magnetic effects of current & Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, and Communication Systems among other topics.

In the BCECE Pharmacy exam, important sections such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology carry a total of 300 questions. Each section will carry 100 questions of 1200 marks. There is no sectional time limit. 

The BCECE 2026 admit card is expected to be released in the first week of June 2026. The BCECE admit card will be released in online mode by the exam-conducting body, BCECEB.  Students have to download the BCECE hall ticket by entering their application number and password. 

Students are advised to check their admit card of BCECE before going to the exam centre. Though as per previous year exam details of BCECE, applicants need to report atleast one hour before the commencement of the exam. So if somebody exam will start at 9 AM then they need to reach the exam centre around 8:00 AM. 

There are three sections in the BCECE Pharmacy entrance exam and applicants are required to attempt each subject-wise section in 90 minutes, respectively, and the total duration of the exam was four and a half hours. BCECE Pharmacy exam carries sections or groups of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or either Biology. 

Students who want to appear in the exam are advised to reach atleast 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Similar to other exams, candidates appearing in BCECE exam need to visit the exam centre one day before also and check for the centre so that no last minute distrubance can be created.

Since the BCECE exam is conducted in offline mode. Hence applicants are advised to check the previous year question papers which will be available on the official website of BCECE board. Students who appeared in the exam previous year will also have the question papers which can be used to prepare.

All the students who appeared in the BCECE exam must note that all the question papers are conducted in offline mode. The BCECE answers or answer keys are available on the official website only. Normally the BCECE answer keys are released around a month after the conclusion of the exam. 

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) declareD BCECE B Pharma result on July 1, 2025 in online mode at the official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The result was shared in the form of a rank card. Applicants have to provide their roll number and date of birth after logging in to check their ranks.

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts BCECE competitive examinations every year for admissions in various professional courses of Medical, Engineering and Agricultural streams in the Institutions of the state of Bihar. So BCECE is not for admission in Bihar Flying Institute. The Institute conducts own entrance exam for admission.

Yes, BCECE counselling was held after the announcement of the BCECE result. Shortlisted candidates were invited for counselling and seats were allotted on the basis of rank secured in the exam and availability of seats in the preferred college.

Yes, all the interested candidates must present and show their domicile certificate to participate in BCECE Pharmacy Counselling. It is one of the mandatory documents to be presented at the time of the BCECE counselling admission process.

Students appearing in BCECE must note about the number of seats in colleges. There are 180 seats in three colleges that accept the BCECE score for admission to BCs nursing programme. (60 seats in each college). All the students who want to take admission should prepare for the exam accordingly to take admission to their desired college.
