Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.

Government Law College, Sikar has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

Courses	Eligibility
LL.M.	Candidates who has passed any of the Post Graduate Diploma courses of University in the Faculty of Law with 55% of marks in the aggregate at the Diploma Examination and pursued a regular course of study in an affiliated college for one academic year shall be eligible for admission.
B.A. LL.B.	Candidate with master's degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Medicine/Management/Engineering/Nursing/Agriculture or the degree of Shastri/Acharya or the degree of Ayurvedacharya /Ayurveda Brihaspati with 45% marks for General (40% for SC/ST and 42% for OBC) of this university or any other recognised university can also apply.
