College motivates students to build a career through academics and competitive exams rather than only campus placements.
Infrastructure: College has a large and historic campus with a peaceful environment. Library is well-stocked with good reference materials for history and other subjects. Classrooms are spacious. Hostel facilities are decent and affordable compared to private colleges. There are also playgrounds and basic sports facilities. While not ultra-modern, the infrastructure is sufficient for academic growth and provides a traditional learning atmosphere.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and highly supportive. Most of them are passionate about their subjects and encourage students to think critically. The curriculum is designed by the University of Calicut, and it is comprehensive for history studies. Exams are fair and focus on conceptual understanding. Placements: Our course B.A. History (Batch 2022–2025) has limited placement opportunities, as it is primarily academically oriented. Roughly 20–30% of students get internships, often through external platforms or NGO projects. The college does not have an active placement cell for history graduates. However, students often pursue higher studies, government exams, or teaching careers. The average package offered (for those placed) is modest, ranging from 2–3 LPA, with NGOs or research institutions. Top roles include research assistant, content developer, and teaching intern.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is satisfactory for a government college. Our department has access to basic classroom facilities and a decent library with historical texts. Wi-Fi is limited to certain areas like the library and labs. Classrooms are traditional but maintained. Hostel facilities are average. Rooms are shared and cleaned regularly. Food quality in the mess is decent and affordable, but not exceptional. Medical facilities are minimal, mostly limited to a first-aid room. Sports and extracurricular activities are available but not very extensive. Still, the overall campus is peaceful and green.
Faculty: Faculty in the History department is well-qualified and supportive. Professors encourage discussions and critical thinking. Most of them hold PhDs and are passionate about their subjects. The curriculum is relevant and includes Indian and world history, making it helpful for students aiming for UPSC, NET, or M.A. programs. If you want to study any particular subject purely on an academic basis, here is a great option.
Placements: Since it is a Government college offering general courses, placement support is not there. However, there will be career guidance seminars to guide students and the teachers are extremely helpful in guiding us. All in all it is a great experience per se.
Infrastructure: Eventhough every basic facility is available, almost all buildings are from the 90s, which gives a vintage look and aesthetic to the campus. Various movies have also been shot in this campus. The vineetha garden also gives a class look to this campus.
Faculty: These courses definitely will not make you industry ready, however if you are interested in learning a subject to the core, it is helpful. Semester exams are a bit hidious since Calicut university is known to NOT conduct exams on time, unfortunate.
Other: Campus life as a whole is really colorful and joyous.

Very good campus. Recommended for everyone.
Placements: More than 80% of the students are placed in a very good position in their respected fields. Almost everyone are getting paid more than 60000/- rupees per month. This college is having a well maintained placement cell which ensures surety of our future.
Infrastructure: Government Victoria College is located in Palakkad Kerala which is built in a very vast land with lots of classrooms and other facilities. All the teachers are well qualified in their field and are very friendly. All the fest and sports events are celebrated like a function.
Faculty: All the faculty members are will qualified in their field and are very friendly to everyone. All the teachers are well disciplined and are very punctual in their work. Every teacher here is government certified Ph.D. holders which helps the students understand more about the respective subject
