Himalayan Institute of Technology and Management, Lucknow, offering UG & PG programs, has its own admission standards as per the score in the examination and marks obtained in the academic year.For UG courses (B.Tech):Eligibility: The candidates who have completed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with minimum 45% marks for open category students and 40% for SC/ST category are eligible for this examination.Admission: Or through management quota, if they clear their UPCET /JEE Main examination.For PG courses (MBA, M.Tech):Eligibility: For MBA, the candidate should have passed the final examination of the bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the aggregate. For admission to M.Tech course B.Tech degree with minimum qualifying marks is required .Admission: Through an entrance examination, UPCET/CAT/GATE or by a direct admission process.The admission process is simplified and include registration through AKTU or directly through the institute's website.

Being a private college, the Himalayan Institute of Technology and Management (HITM) established at Lucknow needs no introduction. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, UP and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. HITM is affiliated to the Himalayan Public School Samiti and provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes particularly in the fields of engineering and technology, business management and computer applications.Being a private university, HITM's source of finance and administration is the governing trust as opposed to the governmental arrangements. He said that its major target audiences are students aspiring to pursue technical and management education in UP with relatively affordable fees as compared to other private colleges of UP.
