It's a good placement college for students in 2024, with really good facilities and teaching staff.
Placements: 70% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 32 LPA, the lowest package is 2.4 LPA, and the average package is 23-28 LPA. Pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, agricultural research agencies, and companies in the food industry offer a variety of roles for botanists, including research scientists, plant breeders, and environmental consultants. In addition, government agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency and the Forest Service also offer opportunities.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and satisfactory for studying. The labs and library are good for homework and learning. Hostels are good and highly clean to live, do homework, and rest. The food is also awesome, both the mess and the canteen provide fresh food. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: Teachers teach like friends and they understand students' problems, and help them. They guide students to pick up the easy industry and prepare them to be ready. Semester exams are easy to pass with the help of the teaching staff.
Other: The botany course helps me in joining the forest department, where I can get a direct post of RFO (Range Forest Officer). There is a study of plants and get forest's living things. Scholarships are provided to students quickly, and from that, students develop their future. The campus is fresh. Events are organized to make friendships and are helpful for all.

One must experience Hislop college's campus in Nagpur.
Placements: Placements in our college are not a thing when you are doing a life science course. Yet many job opportunities open up after masters, like part-time lecturership, research but only after cracking CSIR-NET, working in a research and development company, or fetching out jobs in more industries and startups. But a dedicated placement cell only for masters of science isn't there.
Infrastructure: Overall Hislop College is one of the best colleges to learn Since very few students opt for masters in a life science stream, the bonding in the classroom is immense.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are excellent. They are very knowledgeable and very adaptive. They switch on to new technologies to make their teaching in the classroom much more pleasant. They also keep students under a lot of observation. Be it personal or academic, students are always free to go, share, and discuss their problems and work them out better.
Other: Other than academics, many other extracurricular activities and fests take place. Additional special wildlife week and nutrition week are also celebrated which makes the campus life all the more enjoyable.

Satisfactory but there is always room for improvement.
Placements: A lot of students focus on exams like NET and GRE and end up in Ph.D. programmes nationwide and in USA/UK. Other seniors have also been absorbed in biotech or pharma companies. The pay is decided on the basis of the fellowship obtained by clearing exams. I have been preparing for NET and already been teaching at another college as a contributory lecturer.
Infrastructure: Labs are equipped and stocked with require reagents. Library is well stocked and the biotech department has a separate library to include core books. Canteen has good food but not everyday basic food. Girls hostel is available and infrastructure is improving. All over the college is spacious.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified, with NET and Ph.D. and has been involved in research. Curriculum as per as RTMNU which is not too vast and can be improved to include all areas and new research. Examination pattern needs to improve but it is controlled completely by the university.
